Taco,

You're a kung-fu guy...I've been thinking of trying Tae Kwon Do. IS it any good for general fitness? What do you think of it?

Yeah, I really like my Tae Kwon Do though and it always gives you this awesome sense of fulfillment when you move up another belt.

Tare, if you take it up Ill join you when I get down there, if youd like company. I did tae Kwon Do for years until I moved too far away from my trainer. Not only is it a good workout, but it is also very good to know for self defense. It makes you much more aware of your surroundings. I loved it to death

Codyy just said that he's a friggin' teacher in it. Does that sound like a ringing endorsement for Tae Kwon Do for general fitness? Smiley: dubious

no worries. We both have very immature senses of humor so we laughed it up. Besides, with it being 80 degrees, open windows in the car was a great option. And it was nothing compared to after our sojourn to Sullivans where we had a souffle Smiley: grin

Btw if you get a chance, get yer *** to Sullivans Steakhouse in Raleigh. REALLY good food and the only place where I actually enjoyed a martini. I got very tipsy on their pineapple martinis

Why do women insist on drinking fruity drinks and then feel justified in stating that they enjoy the real thing?

pineapple martini <> martini
white zin <> wine
strawberry margarita <> margarita

Nothing personal, DSD. Its just symptomatic of your gender (and the men walking around the "fruited" plain with sh;t covered shlongs). If you're going to have a drink, have the drink. If you insist on ******** with it, don't tell us you like the drink. I don't doubt one bit that the kool-aid flavored versions go down easier, and I am sure that they assist in you going down easier, but for f'uck's sake, its not a god damned martini if you have to put pineapple in it.
/Derail off

The Capitol Grill in Minneapolis has a 10 gallon glass jar on their bar filled top to bottom with cleaned pineapples marinating in Stoli. Make nicey with the slightly chubby barmaid and your smaple shot may become bottomless. You can go from 0 to hammered without tasting the alcohol in about 5 minutes.

I like tequila. Straight up. Sometimes I even skip the lime and salt. But that's only when I'm dancing.

Tequila is the only thing I like to shoot (not that I have been able to drink for nearly two years now...I really can't wait til Boston and the 1/2 a class of wine it's going to take me to get drunk). For mixed drinks, I like a Tom Collins, a Whiskey Sour, or a White Russian.

I've been taking karate for almost 5 years now. It is a good workout, but with only two 90 minute classes per week it isn't enough on its own to keep me in shape. I get into trouble if I start thinking "I don't have to run today because I have karate tomorrow."

I've never tried it, but I suspect that, with the added focus on kicking, Tae Kwon Do might be even more of a cardio workout than karate. We don't kick all that much in karate.
