Hi Katie, Tare! How are you girls doing? I bet you look stunningly beautiful tonight, both of you.

Just got done reading the Da Vinci Code, and now that I know women are really the Goddess and men suck I'm being extra nice to anyone of a vaginal persuasion. =)

Hiya Saboruto, glad to hear you finally got the magic internet dispensing box functional.

What did you miss? Lets see, Flea hit 10k, kelvyquao hit 10k, cluster 10 broke (we think cluster 7 pushed it) Niobia went completely insane and got owned beyond all historical levels of ownage by jophiel amongst others, and we got a Smiley: pie which is extra cool because it has the symbol for Pi on it!

Other than that not much.

Ahoy Sab! Long time no see. What have you been up to these days?
#7 Apr 22 2006 at 9:12 PM Rating: Excellent
Heya Kao, Goose. I've been ok, we're still not finished unpacking but the worst of it is done. Oh my frickin' god am I loving the new house. It's this massive gorgeous house from the 1920s but it's been fully remodeled and refurnished. Hardwood floors, cavernously huge bedrooms, a kitchen you could camp out in... I just wish it wasn't in central Georgia. I'm really getting cabin fever. We live in this tiny little town called Thomaston. The only real activity to do here is go to Walmart or to the movie theatre (which has all of ONE screen). Anything else requires an hour drive to Warner Robins GA or an hour-and-a-half drive to Atlanta. I hate the South, the rednecks that populate it, and the slow-paced living here. But alas, I'm stuck.

Otherwise, things are good. Me and the Mr. have settled on June for our wedding, most likely June 24. My boyfriend's sister and her girlfriend (she's a lesbian, it's gotta be genetic in that family) are the only family members attending, and only three of our friends will be there. But we're planning on having a seperate service for the family and the rest of our friends to attend at a later time. As sucky as it is, we're waiting til after my father dies before we have the big family thing, because he's in such bad health that he'd never be able to attend. And since my mother is his 24-hour caregiver, she wouldn't be able to come either, which would kind of defeat the purpose of having a wedding for our family. So, as much as I wish we could have the big wedding with all my family there, we're going to have to wait until my dad passes on.

He's not doing very well these days, either. He's gone completely blind in one eye and is quickly losing vision in the other, and his mind is mostly gone. He has trouble speaking clearly and he often uses the wrong words for what he's trying to say. For example, my mom asked him the other night what he wanted for dinner and he kept saying "pigs" when he really meant pork chops. His brain was giving him the wrong word to use, but he really thought he was actually saying "pork chops". Apparently that's not uncommon when people suffer severe strokes, but it's been very frustrating and uncomfortable for the family, and it's depressed my dad a great deal. He knows that his brain isn't working right, he understands that much. It's like he's thinking on the level of a five-year-old but he knows he isn't supposed to be.

Anyway, that's about it. Nathan and I are going down to Florida to visit my folks next weekend to celebrate my mom's birthday and to see my dad. I don't know how much longer he's going to last, but the doctors have given him another few months at the most before he loses critical brain function and his brain shuts down. The family's still trying to come to terms with all of it, and it doesn't help that my dad's mother and brother are both extremely ill. My 80-year-old grandmother's health is rapidly failing and my uncle has stomach cancer, so things on my dad's side of the family aren't looking too good right now. But, these things always come in threes, right?

Anyway, now that I actually have internet again I'm planning on visiting more often once again. I'm not currently playing any MMORPGs, though I'm considering going back to City of Heroes (at least until my character hits the level cap that he's just 8 levels shy of right now), but after that I have no idea. Maybe Guild Wars, or maybe I'll wait until Vanguard comes out and see how it is. What are you guys playing these days? (No, WoW is out of the question. Smiley: tongue)

Glad to see you back Sabo. Sorry to hear that your family is having to cope with different kinds of sadness and stress.

Love the description of the house. So what size is the bed? I bet it's a queen... Sorry, couldn't resist that half-assed pun.

Thumbelyna! I'm shocked! Besides, our bed is a... it's... well hell, it's a queen. But I swear to god we didn't buy it for the pun value! >_<

And hello all you knockout ladies! DSD, Nadenu, Darqflame, Eldy! Who or what is "dmjdw"? And hey to all the boys too, Feba and Exo and Mav and the Goat. Glad to see everyone's still around.

As for EQ2, isn't it just EQ with better graphics? I never really got into EQ1, so I dunno if I'd like the sequel. I'm probably holding out for Vanguard, I'm really hopeful that it will be something fun.

PM me details, plz.

Hi, Sab! Well, you're missing out on quite the fun (so I hear) in Boston, for now it's the same-ol here on the boards, although not as fun without you. It's rought when the family is going through health concerns, but hopefully things will come to pass in a way that will leave you a better, if not always happier, person. Chin up and have lots of gay sex to make up for it.

Edit: Tempted to take it all back cause you didn't include "Flea'Jo" in the list of ladies. Smiley: mad
