I swore I would never buy a pair of dress shoes that had a strap and buckle, instead of laces.

I finally broke down. I now own black buckled dress boots. They are just so damn sexah, I couldn't resist it.

Are they black patent leather so I can look up your dress?

They are black leather.

I skipped the dress today, in lieu of a nice white pressed shirt and crisp black pants.

Hater.

Congrats, Frak. I applaud men who put time into their shoes.

Some time ago, I worked in a shoe store. Then I owned many shoes...when I quit, I transgressed into an age of bland sneakers and no name hikers.

For christmas I recieved a gift certificate to Ecco...ever since then I've been falling in love with nice shoes all over again.

Indeed, I have heard that moniker many times before.

Elderon, I really hate your sigs. Not in the obsessive way you hate (but really love) on Bhodi, but more in the way Danalog hates spammers. Every time I bother to notice, I think, "What a tool".

I'm loving these Steve Madden's.

I just may have to get a pair in brown as well.

I'm wearing shoes made for working in a garage or somewhere else where oil is often on the floor. They're pretty worn out and shabby, but they slip on so I don't have to bend over, which is nice. I don't like effort.

I'll probably buy something newer before Boston just so Flea doesn't faint at the sight of me. I'll probably trim my hair for DSD too, haha.

I know what you mean. Back in the UBB days Angry Hippo used to have a 6" deep sig filled with meaningless crap. I figured he was compensating.

Don't spend money you could spend on beer on my behalf, lady. Gotta be you! I also gotta be me, but I just happen to be a shoe-lover. No shame in either of our respective games.

And Elderon, I just hate that you have seventeen. In any thread you post in I catch myself skipping other people's posts because I think they're still just part of your sig.

I wanted to get a pair of nice shoes for interviews once. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but then I remembered the tiny detail that my feet are frigging huge and that most shoe stores laugh at you most cruely when you ask if they have size 15 shoes. I have a pair of 14 dress shoes. I don't do much walking during interviews...

I rarely wear my eccos since I stuck my toes into these.

Nothing even comes close to being as comfortable if you are on your feet for any decent amount of time. Dansko are seriously addicting.

I've got a pair of these and two of these, one in black.

I always get comments on the first pair.

I usually wear a pair of well-worn deck shoes that are in need of replacement but I did buy a pair of nice dress shoes for funerals and job interviews.

I've taken to wearing flip flops since it's gotten warmer here. I've got a nice enough brown pair that I can match it with white dress pants and a white button front shirt and it looks pretty decent. In the fall I'll have to get some new dress shoes, both white and black, but for the summer, the flip flops work damn good. and they're extremly comfy.
