I found the South Park episode about this by following some links from LtGoose and junk. They did this once with Mormons, so its not very funny from that standpoint, they've already done it.

Pretty funny. The questions they ask Stan are the same ones as were on the personality test I took. Pretty funny.

What is wrong with Sarah anyway... Suri. *sigh*

I work with a guy whose wife is a dresser to various stars and he claims that the baby is Josh Hartnett's from a previous romance between Holmes and him. Furthermore, he claims Cruise "employs" these starlets to varying term contracts to bolster his image as a virile heterosexual male, which he apparently is not. The women he chooses are either on the cusp of stardom or need a boost to get there and use his marquee drawing power to further their careers.

Who knows? I can say this however, his wife is definitely connected to some big names in Hollywood.

It is? I thought Hubbard came up with Scientology while living in L.A.

Do you mean Surrey? I can't fine Suri.

Lol - I think you mean 'Surrey'.

And it's the Church of Scientology’s headquarters, not birthplace.

I've heard that angle Totem. What I think is going on is this:

Tom Cruise has been married twice before. First to Mimi Rogers, which barely lasted a year, and second to Nicole Kidman, which lasted just over 10 years. He was in a long-term relationship with Penelope Cruz, which lasted for about 3 years. Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz were both fairly young when they become involved with him. As they got "grew up," they knew what they wanted to do with their lives and I think those wants probably were not in line with Tommy's general life plan. I think being in control of all aspects of his life, including his relationships is a huge part of what he is. I think he hates the fact that he lost some control in his prior relationships.

Ergo, when he was looking for another relationship, he found it in Katie Holmes. The sweet, innocent girl who just got out of a long-term relationship of her own and was probably at odds of what she wanted to do in life, personally and professionally. Her TV career was winding down and she was on the cusp of a bigger movie career. I think Tom realized that if he was going to have a "solid" relationship with Katie, she was going to have to adopt everything and anything that only he approved of. I find it very telling that he is always the one in public saying things about their relationship ("I just can't hold it in!") while she has been very quiet about it, except to say "He's the most amazing man!"

Okay, maybe I'm just being glib here, but hey, it's fun to speculate.

Edit: And for the name Suri, I will always think of the song "Surrey with the Fringe on Top" from the musical Oklahoma.

To be honest, I think the name is fine. Simple, short, not a fruit, not a misspelling of a common name, not an alcohol, fine.

I mean, it's funny when stars name their kids things like Coco, Apple, Scout, and Pilot Inspector, but I think Suri is kind of pretty for a little girl.

Yes, but "Suri Cruise" just seems like a badly conceived (haha) palindrome.

Say Suri Cruise really fast. Does it sound like Syracuse, Tom Cruise's childhood hometown? Does to me!

I guess so. I heard it on the radio, never actually checked it out myself.
