You didn't tell me you were going to be in town.

I feel so used.

I think that's a different kind of 'Mo.

Then again, maybe that's why you're sad.

Next time you go to Red Rocks, bring someone in a wheelchair who needs an oxygen tank. I did this with some friends a couple of years ago and I can attest to the helpfulness of the staff. Once we informed them that mother couldn't possibly climb the stairs we were placed close enough to Tom Petty to pilfer a lock of his golden mane. Then we ditched the old chick.

Red Rocks is a great venue. The only time I was dissappointed was when I went to a Tool show about 3 years or so ago and they had the volume down a bit too much for the vocals, we couldn't hear the lyrics. Then someone figured it out and cranked it up a bit.

I like watching bands play at small venues. One gets the chance to get close to the stage, and even when you’re at the bar, you’re still close. The house of blues is always a nice venue. There are some other good venues in Hollywood that keep it small. I hate watching bands in amphitheaters and stadiums. It’s unfortunate that bands like Tool will never play in small venues since bazillions of people want to go.

Tool is coming to Chicago in May. They're playing at the "Auditorium Theatre." I never heard of that venue. Anyone been?
