You certinaly do have the right to defend yourself. However, the defense of "you should be nice to people because being nice is nice to do and being mean is something eldy would do" won't get what you want.
This is the Internet. Most of us are here to entertain ourselves. It sucks that sometimes one or two people get singled out. The good ones, roll with the punches and end up being accepted. The ones that cause the most grief for themselves are the ones that take everything personally.

Acutally, most student in Sweden and Norway start taking english in 1st grade. They can normally choose a third language in our equivalient of 4th or 5th grade.
In all my time there I've only run into 3 people that couldn't speak english better than I could, they were all over 65 years of age.

if i really felt i was being harassed for real ,then i would have complained to one of the admins a long time ago.

You're damned right I want them to be treated like that. It will give them the start of a life lesson that some people, who will remain nameless, seem to have missed out on. That is, how to deal with a bully.
Face it, whether it in an anonymous internet forum, or a random co-worker, or a repeat customer at a place of business, you're going to have people who in some degree are going to bully you. How you deal with it is something that is a life-long learning process, and quite frankly, mother dearest, I'd rather they be properly socially developed and prepared for the world at large instead of sheltered and one who is prone to being taken advantage of.
