ShadowFollow

Shadow was my dog. a kind of large flat coated retriever mutt thing from adopt a pet. all black, and kind of menacing looking, but the friendliest dog i have known. the kind of dog that just wanted attention. he would pass up food to be petted. always putting his head under your hand to get you to pet him.

my wife was really attached to him. he was her personel jogging companion every day.

today, Easter Sunday, i get a message on my answering machine after comming home from work, that my dog was dead, and sitting in someones front yard. he was kind enough to pick my dog up off the sidewalk and put him in a wheelbarrow and ice him down untill i can come get him in the morning. how many people do you know that would do that?

i loved my dog, and i will miss him.

you have known my passions, and now you know my pain. i hope your Easter was better than mine.

I'm sorry, that really... Sucks. But it will lead to a new friend, a new life, and a new dog.

Maybe this is not the best of timing for the question, but what was your dog doing out roaming? How'd he get out?

I do feel empathy for your pain, bro. Some of the biggest moments of panic I've ever had are the couple of times that my own dog has taken advantage of an improperly shut door or gate and gone wandering.

you can have my dog. No, really, I'll pay you to take him off my hands

Did you try putting him in a cave wrapped in a shroud? That seemed to work in bringing back this one guy I heard about.

God hates liberals who question the authority of the duly elected President of the United States of America and the policies he legally puts in place to safeguard the American people and their interests at home and abroad.

Think of puppies as the citizens of Me'lei. Sometimes innocents get massacred to appease the gods of Truth, Justice and The American Way.

I'm sorry for your loss. If it's any comfort at all, it sounds like he had a good, full doggy life.

Ah, I see. Sort of like Baghdad. Who in their right mind builds a foriegn city over or near American oil anyway? Will someone please think of the puppies!

Any time you hillbillies to the north wanna change your protectorate status, let us know. Your oil can be seen as a vital national security interest just as easily as raghead oil.

There is one major difference that would never lead to that scenario anyway. Alberta has all of Canada's current major oil production, and the rest is way up North. What would most likely happen is the US would just buy Alberta and the drilling rights to Northern Canada. If there is a PM in office anything like the current PC PM, then the deal should go through as easily as Katie can insert a 6" wide by 18" long personal massager.

You give her to much credit.

I would have placed it at at least 10'' by 3'

God has smited your dog because you worked on Easter Sunday.

You might want to get another dog before you do it again next year or it may be your wife next time.

That's tough. I loved my dog very much, and, like anyone that loves you unconditionally, it was hard to get over his loss. What happened to him? Did he get run over? Old age?

My sympathies Relm.

I was gonna tell my deceased dog story... but maybe it's not too appropriate.

He lives on in your memory.

[Annie just revealed to T.J. she is his mother]
Annie: I'm your mother.
T.J.: No, my mother's dead. She's a beautiful angel.
Annie: No she's not, I'm here and I love you.
T.J.: You don't live with us, you're not married to Champ.
Annie: Listen to me T.J., you don't have to live with someone to love them, I love you.
T.J.: Do you love the Champ? Do you? Do you love him? No you're not my mother.
Annie: No, no please listen to me. It's not that simple. T.J. listen to me.
T.J.: Go away. Please don't touch me. I don't want you, I don't want you.
Annie: Timmy.
T.J.: Go away I told you, go away. Go away, I want the Champ. I want Champ. Champ. I want Champ. I don't want you, I want to go back to the Champ. I want Champ, get out of here!

Gotta love Little Ricky and The Champ resets.

he was hit by a car after breaking out a hole in our wood fence sometime around 5:30 pm. wife was out of town, and i was at work till 9:oo pm.

the man who hit him is the one who called, and took care of him till i could retrieve him. he hit him pulling into his driveway, on a bright suny day, and Shadow was a good 75 to 80 lbs, he was a big dog.

ireguardless of his driving abilities, he was good enough to take care of the situation with a certain amount of respect for my dog and me too. for that i am greatfull. 9.9 out of 10 people whould have just called the city to remove the body and not said a word to anyone. i would have found out a few weeks from now when the city got around to looking for someone to bill for his disposal.

my wife is devastated. he was her best friend.

not a good Easter for me. i hope yours was better. it is never really a good time to loose someone or something you really care about. Shadow was part of our familey, and there will be a hole in it now that he is no longer here.

They already made a movie about your dog's life. Don Ameche played the part.

Head down to the local humane society and find yourself a new companion. Yes, it will never be the same or an adequate replacement, but you can be all passive-aggressive with the animal and it will love you all the same. A real win-win.

Sorry for your loss; losing a pet is as bad as losing a child. Take it from me, I've never had a child but I've had assorted pets, from salamanders(not really that heartbreaking a loss) to furry mammals(much easier to love something that actually has it's own emotions).

Typical f'ucking liberal. Never miss a chance to blame someone for something that was your fault. And its regardless, not ireguardless, moron. Next time you get a dog, fix the holes in your fence and your dog probably won't dart in front of some poor old guy's car, ruining his easter.

Actually, that's a Pubbie trait. We liberals mourn the individual, then blame the systems that caused the failure.

In that case, Democrats will never win another election. If we have the Welfare Darkies on our side now, we'll be unstoppable.

Think, Flea. Think.
