My only real experience with a "violent" death was when I was a senior in high school. My best friend at the time was throwing a party but needed a hand setting things up so I had told him I would come over and help carry the keg in etc. I ended being about an hour late.

I showed up, according to the what they said was the time of death, about 20 minutes after he had shot himself in the head with a shotgun because his girlfriend had broken up with him. His parents would not allow me at the funeral as well as his ex girlfriend.

His ex girlfriend killed herself when she was a freshman at Pitt roughly a year later. Other than that my only real experiences are with elderly family members passing away, and preparing for my father to pass.

Is this defined as morbid or emo? Smiley: laugh

Messed up **** there.

The "trade a paperclip for a house" article also found on that front page is pretty cool.

I have seen more than my share of fiery, spectacular, bloody, highway crashes, that have ended in multiple deaths.

I think the worst I have seen was not all that spectactular at all. A Jeep failed to stop at a stop sign, and got slammed in the side by a van.

No big deal really, except for the 4 yr old boy in the back of the Jeep that got his head crushed in the rollbar of the Jeep, where it angles to the body.

There are no words to describe the blood curdling screams of a mother who sees her child die in such a horrible fashion. And there is no consolation.

For the record, you can always use Wikipedia to look up terms you don't understand.

In this case Wikipedia says this about 'pwn':

Quote:
The slang term pwn (past tense pwned, pwnd or pwnt, various pronunciations) as used by the Internet gaming culture, means to dominate an opponent. In this context, to be pwned can be defined as “to be defeated,” with the strong connotation of also having been “made a fool of.” It is generally used for “friendly taunting” of a player’s in-game enemies, and gently “rubbing in” any victories, no matter how fleeting. While the term probably originated as a typographical error of the word own [1], it is now used intentionally by many members of the culture. The term has become so ubiquitous in Internet circles that it is often used outside of gaming contexts. For example "We Pwned them hardcore in that basketball game"

Weebs, you just made me go hug and cuddle my son a little bit tighter than normal. He enjoyed it for about 2 minutes, then told me he couldnt breathe.

past that now. It's a good thing the kid is cute. Mother Nature knew what she was doing when she made him look like an angel with big blue eyes that can make your heart melt in seconds.

Well, I recall the time I was talking my friend out of committing suicide...

He was sitting on the toilet seat with a towel around his shoulders, drunk, with a shotgun in his mouth.

I slurred some words, worse than him...

Then a huge bang...

I'll never forget the sight of a human cranium exploding, and brain matter raining upon my chest.
