I couldn't make do with just one CD. If I had a latin one, I'd miss hip-hop. If I had a hip-hop one, I'd eventually miss my folksy ones. Too much folksy music would make me want some metal, and then too much metal would make me want mindless pop, which would bring me full circle to danceable latin music, except if I was drunk, in which case I'd want old-school latin romance or maybe some American Songbook.

Edit: The closest I could get to an album that I could listen to nonstop is Juan Luis Guerra's masterpiece, Bachata Rosa (and I don't even like Bachata).

I was just listening to Cash - Unearthed, 5 cd box set. He does a cover of Redemption Song with Joe Strummer.

If I was allow only one cd it would be It's a Beautiful Day. I first heard this when my sister came home from college for the summer in '72 with the copy from her College Radio station.

It's a toss-up for me, either Cream - Disraeli Gears, or Allman Brothers Band - Beginnings.

A tough question for a music geek to answer.

Most people that know me would expect something by The Cure, The Fall, The Buzzcocks, Gang of Four, The Pixies, Husker Du, Robyn Hitchcock, REM, Bob Dylan, Talking Heads, Wire, My Bloody Valentine, New Order/Joy Division, Can, Zappa, Bowie, Air, something completely off the wall that few have heard of, or maybe even play it completely safe and pick a Beatles album.

After giving some thought to what album I have listened to for years and never once been not in the mood for, I came up with this.

...is adding that it would have to be in mono too much to ask?

I'm switching my vote to their To the Bone double album.

I had a **** of a time finding Allman Brothers live at the Filmore which was recommended originally by Kakar last time and seconded by others. I fell in love with it.

Now I can't find it for the life of me.

I am with flea on this one. I think I could only pick my favorite album out of each genera of music I enjoy, not one overall. If I say one today, next week it would be something different.
