What do you do...Follow

...with a couple years of sales and service experience, and insurance licences from 22 states? I wonder this because I showed up to work today and was notified that I was not going to be employed there any longer. I had scheduled the last week off, but had apparently not been aproved for one of the days, and as such it was treated as a no-call no-show, resulting in my termination. Strange really, being as the company claims to be progressive and I hadn't had a similar ocurrence in just about two years of employment, but I digress...

I'm back on the hunt for employment now, well not right now, because I'm going to drink the rest of the day. What do you think I should do next? Let me tell you my qualifications:

I have seven years of sales experience, ranging from auto repair estimating to HVAC systems to insurance.

I am double jointed.

I have seven years of service experience, same fields.

I hold insurance producer licenses for personal lines products in the states of CO, AZ, CA, UT, VA, GA, MI, KS, ND, SD, WY, NY, PA, IN, ID, WA, AL, MS, TX, NM, MO and OH.

I can drink an entire liter of Jack in a single sitting, and still perform sexually.

I have experience in many things construction related; HVAC, framing, plumbing, roofing.

I've been shrewd enough to save some dough over the last few years, so I'm not in a huge hurry to get another job, but if you can suggest something interesting, maybe I'd take it to heart and hit the streets, looking for the ultimate working experience.

I was thinking I'd get my warlock to 60.

That with the sales experience, I'd say gigalo is the field for you.

Sorry to hear about your job. That's an odd reason to let you go, they must have been looking for a reason to get rid of you. What did you do? Bang the bosses daughter or something?

Ouch!

On the other hand I never realized you actually HAD a job before.

Do you enjoy sales? Is that something you want to keep up? Or is this a good time to think about making a change you've been putting off?

It's a good time for a change, so I'm not very upset. It would be hard to take this too seriously, anyway, after reading about Buffy's father. With that in mind, I'd like to make this post effective tomorrow, so that he doesn't steal any sympathy from me, so if you would, postpone any further replies till then.

what a crappy reason for letting you go. Did they make it clear to you before your vacation one of those days was not cleared? Or was that something you had no idea about prior?

You could be a contract manager for a construction contractor. I heard the pay is good and you get to lord it over underlings, so that's a plus.
