The baby made out the best of all of us, tons of Peek-a-blocks and other assorted baby things. Thank God nobody got her a push popper toy yet, the only noisy thing she got was a glo-worm and a leap pad. Neither are that annoying.

I got Age Of Empires III, Fable, Combat Flight Simulator III, and a new joystick.

My wife got me a bunch of tools, and I got her a bunch of scrap-booking stuff.

I got Tampa Bay Lightning tickets, clothes, some gift cards and some hockey figures from McFarlane. The "best" part of Christmas was the gift I gave to my girlfriend.

I purchased two plane tickets for us to go to Boston the first week of February. She has wanted to go on vacation for some time so I thought it a good gift. Little did I know...

I was so pleased with myself that I had to tell someone. I filled my sister in on this secrect. Turns out, my sister and her boyfriend booked (but didn't purchase, thank bob) a romantic beach getaway on the very weekend we were gone. Then, on Christmas morning, my parents gave her a card with money inside. On the top left corner I see this inscription: "Use this for your trip!" Smiley: motz Surprise ruined. Yeah!!!

So we call her friend in Boston that I figured we were going to stay with. Well, she is moving at the end of January and does not know where she is going to live. And the last nail in the coffin...the aforementioned Lightning tickets just happen to be for a game played oh so perfectly when we won't be here.

I got gift cards to Old Navy, which I ran out and spent yesterday (I deperately needed new clothes, and wanted them before our trip). I also got a new sweater, a new set of bath towels and washclothes, 2 new books (Memoires of a Geisha and The Secret Life of Bees), belgian chocolates, a Sarah Machlachlan CD (yeah, I can never spell her name right), new pajamas, some slinky red lingerie, and some bath and body girly stuff.

Hannah got TONS of clothes, a highchair, some cute toys, a sippie cup, a couple teething rings that go in the fridge, some diapers, a coat, some spoons, and some neat little mesh food holder thingies (technical term). She also got a new car seat since she is a giant monster baby.

Both excellent chick books.

Amazon.com, by the way, did a record amount of sales for Christmas. Someone mentioned their wish list, and it does rock (that's how I got my DVDs). You can also do an electronic gift certificate there, which is SO nice - I always lose paper gift certificates, or forget to take them with me. Just dial in some store credit for me!

Tried to go see the MG movie on Christmas Day since I was bored, but it was sold out. Loved the book. As for The Secret Life of Bees, I bought a copy and never read it. Not sure why.

I got an Xbox 360, and it is the most kick *** thing I have ever seen. The graphics look like I'm actually there especially in GUN. I also got about 6 games for it GUN, Call of Duty 2, Kameo: Elements of Power, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Perfect Dark: Zero, and Kong.

So far I've been like a mole rat in a hole playing it non stop I beat GUN the second day I had the console and Call of Duty 2 a day and a half later on veteran diffuculty.

Anyone else get one? Mine was one of the first wave that was supposedly plauged with faults but I haven't seen any...so lemme know if you've seen them act up.

I paid off my kids to go to a movie Christmas Day so I could give my 'special' christmas gift to my husband. I guess the movie they were going to was sold out also. They returned home unexpectedly - we were busted. Smiley: blush

I never would have thought Christmas Day was a busy theater night.

I liked Memoires of a Geisha (the book) too.

What other place is open? I think most folks have had just about enough of family togetherness at that point and feeling the effects of cabin fever. My brother and his wife went to three movies in the course of two days, they were so excited to have as many babysitters present.

I got GUN for my husband's PS2 for Christmas and he's hooked on that game. I also got him Shadow of Colossus, but he has yet to play that game because he's off playing cowboy and Native Americans and killing the bad guys.

Hubby and I got a car accident for Christmas Eve! Smiley: frown

We were stopped to turn onto our street and this old lady, rear ended us going at least 55 mph. She didn't even put on her breaks or slow down. We were on our way back from the store with our groceries. Needless to say, my car is totalled, our groceries are history and I got to go to the hospital in an ambulance. Woo Hoo Merry Christmas!

But other than that, got money from mom (she says we can do our own shopping) The Henckel knife set I been wanting (I picked that out last week) More money from the inlaws. Barnes and Noble gift card from Sister and Brother inlaw. And a couple of presents from my brother in Georgia.

Got the usual assortment of gift certificates and clothing items (not many, just a shirt and a jacket I think). Got a bunch of DVDs, which are always cool. A couple games (regular games that you actually play without a computer, go figure!). A few books (mom's always good for a couple good books). And my new addiction, CivIV. Yeah. Having fun with that game. Still getting my brain around the changes from CivIII, but so far it looks like it's a winner.

We're pretty much all grown up, so gift giving among the adults is pretty muted, but we've got tons of kids, and that's what makes the whole thing fun (but exhausting!).

I've discovered that no matter how good I think I am at strategy games, I still managed to get pwned by a trio of 4-6 year olds at the "My Little Pony" game. Sheesh! S'ok though. I got them back when we switched to Operation: Shrek... Oh yeah! Vengeance was mine!!!

The whole thing was made more "busy" by a trio of birthdays. Yeah. Who'd figure that myself, my older brother, and my younger brother's son (1 year old!) would all happen to be born on the same day. All the birthday celebration stuff has seriously cut into my Civ time...

I got Civ IV for my birthday (20th), and I love it. My first Civ game. It's the reason I haven't been keeping up with everyone else in WoW. It's a bit overwhelming, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. That is, I thought I had it under control until time elapsed a bit and I started having to worry about oil and the culture slider and all sorts of mumbo jumbo that didn't show up in the tutorial. Smiley: banghead

Regardless, I managed to win my first game on Settler difficulty, though it was by score. (9 players) All of the civs united at the beginning, so it was sort of difficult to play puppet master and turn them all on each other while keeping myself safe. I did manage to rid the world of those pesky Spaniards and Americans, though.

I don't think I'm quite ready to jump online, yet. I have a feeling that if I do, I'll have to come up with a new definition for the word "Pwn".
