Whether you liked his policies or hated them, whether you liked him as a person or not you can not argue Reagan had the charisma and the ability to lead. Do you think his funeral and the nostalgia it has stirred up will help or hurt Bush? Will the reminder of Reagan’s presidency highlight Bush’s short comings or spotlight his abilities?

I think people will forget about it completely. Between now and the election there will be 20 "Big News!!" stories that will push any thoughts of Regan out of voters minds completely.

Hopefully, historians will be able to get back to examining his real record as a President farily soon instead of providing fluff pieces for major netowrks.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

I don't see how looking at the past performance of ANY president, even Reagan, could do anything but hurt Bush's chances. Everyone makes him look like a complete, blundering dolt.

Was it just me, or was there a poke in Dubya's ribs from Ron Reagan, Jr. during his eulogy at the burial ceremony? He said that his father, unlike other presidents that were deeply religious, never committed the politician's common error of using his religion to gain him political sympathy.

If W. was thinking about this then he is a bumbling dolt, ********* etc. because he was thinking about himself rather than the deceased.

I don't know how much it'll affect the outcome in November, but GWB'll be able to invoke the Gipper at will now.

I'm with Smash. I think by the time elections comes around it will just be something people think of once in a great while. I don't see how this will affect Bush or anyone at all when it comes down to it.

I think it will help him cant blame this on wag the dog but him getting to show himself with a bunch of clips of Reagan cant but help him. Reagan was a popular president.
