Why do I play this game anymore.Follow

This is just a long rant BTW, I put it in this forum, because atleast I'll get flamed by ********, and/or people who have different views, and won't get flamed for putting it in the wrong forum.


I've been thinking to myself, why do I play this game, whhy do I go leveling.....is it so I can go to another place and start leveling. Why do I farm, is it because I want good equipment when I go leveling. Why do I do quest, is it because I can get gil out of them to get items for leveling.....I'm just losing the point of the game.

I get it, its about community, and teamwork......but if I wanted commmunity and teamwork....I could just go and play Socom2....have a lot of fun, competing against other people, build community and teamwork that way. But for some reason I play this game, paay to play it too. In the beginning, it was all so new, and amazing, wow an airship, wow these zones are huge, wow whats thru this tunnel, wow a samurai....sweet Ifrit. But now its all so...I don't want to say boring, but just not interesting.

I really think it has to do with the almost sad trend of Final Fantasy games. This may make me sound increadibly dorkish and having of no life, but i'm ok with this....frankly most of the people here cant really say anything bad about me, then they can about themselves. Back in the day, I would spend amazing amount of time doing the simplest things for Final Fantasy games, getting the golden Chocobo, leveling up to 99, in effert to beat Ruby, level up my str. materia so to push Cloud's Omnislash to its max. Not even just for 7, but in 8, did you know that black widow at teh beginning of the game can be beat down, and if you do so, you get 50 AP per time you do. I would spend hours fighting on the beach getting my summon rate with (Thunder element summon here) so I could take it out 5 or 6 times because I had to get my butt moving. I was able to easily beat OmegaWeapon with just Swuall. Using Limitbreak and Holy War(Turned you invisible). Hell I spent the time to upgrade my Chocobo all the way in 9, and search high and low for the place I was to dig.

Even more then that, I could give you a walkthru for Resident Evil2, from beginning to end, as I have beaten that game more times then I would care to know.....but in all its greaness of graphics...I only beat Resident Evil Zero once. Maybe its s sign i am getting old....when I just fine so much more fun in older games. I could pick up Lunar 2 right now and play till the very last dungeon, making sure to have the Hero's Talismen and everyones best equiipment, even though I won't need it. I have beaten Star beaten Star Ocean2 playing only as Rena.... just to see how it was to be man healer and not really a melee fighter.

But now I get to my real point. So we all love FFX? Well I sure as hell didn't. I played it only once, and well....I just wanted to see Tidus die as the end...because it was pretty clear from the getgo that he was going byebye. And the story was just so clear.....i'm still not sure if I was given the information of Yuna gioing to die if she used the FInal Summon thing, or if it was a easy guess. I was hoping she, Tidus, and Wakka would die. My Rikku, Lulu, and Auron party owned. The kicker is, I barely spent anytime doing subquest...they were so pointless and cunfusing....Ok to get Tidus's ultimate weapon,which isn't really that much beter then his others....you have to do this, and this and this. To get Cloud's Ultimate Weapon, the Ultima Weapon, you have to defeat Ultima Weapon. Makes sense, easy enough.I hate it that you really need a FAQs atleast, in order to really pump your guys up. For all who have played Final Fantasy IV, if you just wonder around, you can find many new things, such as that village with all the small people. its so neat to find stuff like that.Its used to be you could wonder in from house to house, and maybe find a chest with a ether in it, maybe a decent piece of armour, maybe the best charm in the game. Maybe square thinks they are adding replay value....but you know what I find the most of the replay value from games come from....Having fun. I don't want to be given the best weapons in the game, but I want quest that i can figure out by myself.

Tell me, how many people here can say they never used a FAWs or a help topic, or anything on this site for a mission or quest....Chances are....noone. Tell me how could square find you could find that first Ninja scroll, searching the grotto till hell freezes over. Cause it might happen quicker then wondering int to the right room. What would be the point. And some other quest. (Trade me this) and you don't even have to go out and find the item, you can buy most from the AH. This is just turning into a really long rant.

They didn't teach writing when you went to school why they **** would they start now?
