Looks to me like the Bush has international support...
Russia didn't whisper support for John Kerry

Putin Takes Bush's Side Against Democrats on Iraq

SEA ISLAND, Ga (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin (news - web sites) stepped into the U.S. political campaign on Thursday, saying the Democrats had "no moral right" to criticize President Bush (news - web sites) over Iraq (news - web sites).

The Kremlin leader, answering a reporter's question in Sea Island, Georgia, suggested that the Democrats were two-faced in criticizing Bush on Iraq since it had been the Clinton administration that authorized the 1999 bombing of Yugoslavia by U.S. and NATO (news - web sites) forces.

The reporter had asked Putin to respond to U.S. press articles questioning Russia's place at the G8 feast of leading industrial countries.

Putin brushed these off, saying such articles were part of an internal U.S. political debate.

He went on: "I am deeply convinced that President Bush's political adversaries have no moral right to attack him over Iraq because they did exactly the same.

"It suffices to recall Yugoslavia. Now look at them. They don't like what President Bush is doing in Iraq."

Russia was adamantly opposed to the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia, as it has been to the U.S.-led military operation Iraq to topple Saddam Hussein (news - web sites).

At the same time, Putin forged a strong friendship with Bush by offering immediate support in the global fight against terrorism. Both men go out of their way now to avoid criticizing each other publicly.

Bush has the support of an authoritarian right wing leader.

You don't say?

So let's make a quick list:

Saudi Arabia, who cuts people's hands off for stealing and is run by a ruthless monarchy- BUSH

Russia, who is run by a former KGB agent who has done nothing but consolidate power through any means-- BUSH.

I wonder who else in on the list for Bushie. Lybia I'm sure, since they're our close allies now. Rpobably Somalia roo.

:)

List just goes on and on try a google search, basically what happened was they France, Germany and Russia all told us no if it was put to a vote so we "re-interpretted and expanded" a prior resolution to allow us to go to war without allowing them to vote.

You know, I'm no big fan of 'Bushie' as Smash so affeectionately labeled him. He ranks right up there with Jimmy Carter as far as Presidents go, in my book. At least Carter turned out to be a hell of an ex-President and redeemed my home state pride to some extent. Bush I doubt will manage anything close.

But John Kerry apeals to me even less. I just don't get any sort of warm fuzzy feeling of safety from the man. I get the impression he's politically spineless. I don't base this on anything other than my gut feeling. But that guides my vote more than any of the 'differences' between Bush and Kerry.

Does this country have NOTHING to offer us in the way of Presidential candidates? Where's that little nutbag Perot when we need him? sarcasm

Sadly, I think (hope) a LOT of people feel the same way. We're not being given much of a choice. If the election were today, I'd probably vote for Bush. But that doesn't mean I'd be too damn pleased about it. I'd rather vote for Ronald McDonald, even if his food didn't treat that dumbass who ate it for a month too nicely. It's just that not voting is avoiding the issue.

Idi Amin, rest his soul, were he still alive, would support GWB and his decision to go into Iraq. That speaks volumes.

Personally if I thought he could beat Bush I like Nader the best of the three people running. But my political party this year really reads ABB that is anyone but bush. I would vote for Ronald Reagan again even though he is dead before I wanna see this coksuker get reelected.

Your feeling is based on Republican smear tactics. It might be how'd you feel otherwise, but don't you find it a little convienent that your "gut" feeling matches the picture of Kerry that Republicans are spending millions and millions trying to paint for people unfamilliar with the man?

I don't care if you vote for him or not, but be a little more self aware.
