An ex-girlfriend called me The Pickle Prince because I liked wearing mod-style green clothes at the time.

How did you get your handle?

Eb

Alternative title to this thread? The official rate up old PicklePrince thread. ;)

Man! It is too easy to bait that Karma Camper! Hee-hee!

Totem was the Grand Vizier and Head Shaman to Pusbag, Emperor of Norrath.

Totem

I was always amazed at how the name "Pusbag" managed to get taken after I created that toon on Druzzil Ro on every server and every game I've played on since. I must have made a big impression on people.

My first two characters in Everquest I made were Danariel and Logyrythm, a mage and a bard. I condensed the two into Danalog for boards, and ended up liking it more than my previous online alias.

I've told this story a million times now.. heh

I've something of an interest in angels from a purely academic point of view. Some people like reading about Greek myth, some like Egyptian myth -- I find interest in the countless classifications and attributes of the various Seraphim, Cherubim and the rest of 'im (thank you, I'll be here all week).

Anyway, when I first started going on IRC, I wanted a name that reflected my interest. All the easily thought of names like Seraph, Uriel, etc were constantly taken and it's a hassle to grab someone else's name and listen to people you don't know send you messages and stuff so I picked Jophiel. Jophiel is supposively the cherubim in Genesis who drives Adam & Eve from the Garden and is set to watch over the Tree of Life. So he's a name player if you know the myth, but not known well enough to be casually taken. I tend to use Jophiel on forums when I can, otherwise I usually grab a varient like Iofiel.

As you can tell by my Jove references, I've always thought it was a play on Jovial.

Resident ... Local.
Lune ... Crazy man.

I still wonder what my friends were thinking with giving a nickname like that to me. Well, "Lune" was the nickname. "Resident" I added on my own for board and forum handles.

Surname=Krogsrud with long vowels so the end sounds like rood.

I want to own my own brewery somdeday and the a name I thought of for a beer is Krogsbrewed because brewed and rood sound alike.

From there I just condensed.

In the book series The Belgariad by David Eddings there is a character named Prince Kheldar, but he has various nicknames, one of them being Radek. Waaay back when I played EQ:OA, I had a bard character named Radek, since the character from the book seemed like a jovial, story-telling sort of person. After that it just kinda stuck, and I've been using it for everything.

The DeLoku part was because I once played this game called Shadowbane where your character had to have a surname, and I just kind of randomly thought it up.

Radek

**Edit: Grammar.

Haha, Smash!

If Fort Wayne, IN wasn't on the other side of the state from Chicago, I'd go there sometime just to have my picture taken in front of the store. That'd kick *** in a geeky "funny to no one but me" sort of way.

Edit: Sweet Jane in a pickup truck, this is an obnoxious skirt

My first E.Q. character was a Dwarf on one of the Zek servers. I played with a few friends and knew little of the blubie culter on the other servers. Once I got to the appropriate level ( I forget) I gave him the last name of GitSlayer. I was also active on the the Zek forum and when by that name. At some point while looking for info I came across this site and at a later date created an account with this name. I have never bothered to create a less annoyingly named one so this one stuck.
