I'm fairly certain I would've have just dropped a hydroshock in her temple after that.

What kind of weapons do the Air Martials carry?

Side note:
We get AFN radio out here and there was a story about some lady that forgot her passport for a flight to London from NYC. So the only logical thing to do in this situation is to call in a bomb threat so that you can delay the flight long enough to get it and make it back to the terminal.

Some people desirve to be murdered.

I don't know for a fact, and was too lazy to look it up, but I'd imagine it's that it's consistent with what the rest of the FBI/Treasury guys carry, either a Sig 9mm or that terrible 10mm Colt the FBI guys carry. I'd imagine probably the 9mm loading Remmington Centerfire or some other subsonic round. I know the Martial service was talking about moving to a Baretta 9mm.

It's not unlikely that they carry some non lethal weapon as well, be it mace or a taser or whatever. I'm sure they're discouraged from gunplay on an airplane even in dire circumstances.

You think a 9mm round could go through an airplane's walls?

Never tried myself, they always stop me in the terminal.

I know that SWAT uses the MP5 becuase of the 9mm rounds and that they won't go though walls like a 7.62 or 5.56 round, but still have the full auto option.

There are lots of places you can get away with arguing with the authorities.

On an airplane is absolutely not one of them. Hell, not even in the airport. Ah well, she's stupid and will get what she deserves.

They use MP5's because they're small, accurate and easy to shoot while moving. You could shoot any firearm with a round that wouldn't penatrate walls. All of the shooters I talk to can't stand the NATO 5.53 "blue" rounds, which are armor peircing, which is nice but which have a bad habbit of going through people cleanly instead of spinnig around or staying inside.

So instead of dropping someone with one shot, they stand there firing back at you while you have to hit them a few more times.

Obviously I don't have personal experience in that regard.

And yes, I think you could depressurize a plane with an off the shelf "normal" 9mm pistol round.

They use MP10s, now, main reason is the supressor is excellent, and anyone who has decent depth perception can shoot them accurately, the diopter sights are absolutely brilliant.

As for full auto... That never happens, especially when SWAT is involved. Full-auto wastes bullets, and even on MP5s and 10s the recoil is absolutely horrible. They fire in short bursts in almost tall situations.

I didn't know that there were 2 air marshals stationed on all planes these days... I'm suprised there was even one.

When they play video games maybe...

What SWAT teams are shooting MP10s?

Boy, that's getting off light. If I were the air marshall, I'd have pulled out my 9mm/whatever and whacked her upside the head. Unconsious persons are so much easier to deal with.

Not surprising you think that considering that's the only way you get laid, Captain Ruffie.

I think I might tell that to my girlfriend. She should get a kick out of it.

Will you tell her before or after you slip her some more pills?

I understand the severity of the charge, but how light do you think she'll get off? Wouldn't it be nice if they made an example out of her.

As for the bomb threat bit, can't you go to jail for years and years and years for one of those?

Nowadays I would think they would give her the maximum that the law allows. Someone who thinks that calling a bomb threat in to allow them time to get their passport shouldn't be walking the streets.

Like I said I heard it on the radio, never saw a written report which I'm sure would go into more detail.

A plane passenger slapped a federal air marshal after refusing to sit down and ignoring instructions to end her cellular phone call, which she said would have been "rude," prosecutors said Tuesday.

Does this qualify as irony?

I'm guessing that they pack .38s so that they avoid puncturing the aircraft's skin when in flight if they miss.

I gotta stress this, make an example out of her. You are too kind to suggest a few months. That comso drinking prissy ***** from Florida deserves a public display of affection from our beautiful gov't.

Nah. They just need to deputize Richard Simmons and he'd've thrown in a roundhouse ***** slap and a grapevine while humming along to "It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To" in retaliation.
