Conservative movement to put Reagan on the $10 bill

I'm not going to debate if the Gipper should be on a bill or coin so let's just say he's going to be (for sake of argument). Which bill or coin do you think would be best to change? Keep in mind that we're not making any new denominations, so he can't go on the $30.

Who We Currently Have
$1 - George Washington
$2 - Thomas Jefferson (yes, these still circulate)
$5 - Abraham Lincoln
$10 - Alexander Hamilton
$20 - Andrew Jackson
$50 - Ulysses S. Grant
$100 - Benjamin Franklin

1¢ - Abraham Lincoln
5¢ - Thomas Jefferson
10¢ - Franklin D. Roosevelt
25¢ - George Washington
50¢ - John F. Kennedy
100¢ - Sacajawea

Retired Denominations
$500 - William McKinley
$1,000 - Grover Cleveland
$5,000 - James Madison
$10,000 - Salmon P. Chase
$100,000 - Woodrow Wilson.

There's tons of retired coins, two of the most recent are the Eisenhower dollar and Susan B. Anthony dollar.

One, how the fuck did Salmon P Chase get on currency of any kind, ever??

Give him the dollar coin. It's not like we haven't had 97 people on that thing anyway. ***** Scawhatever. The Native American's have casino chips to put their heros on now.

i think(if we do) he should go onto the dime and FDR should be moved to the $10 bill, i personally don't care about hamilton, anybody could have done what he did(although the same could be said about reagan)

Smiley: laugh I thought the same thing about Chase. I was like "WTF is Salmon P. Chase"?

I never answered my own question, but my gut reaction was a dollar coin as well. I don't see kicking any of the paper presidents off. The idea (in the linked article) of having him on the dime in lieu of FDR (even 50% of the time) seems obscene. Put him on the buck coin, let Wal*Mart distribute him around the country and call it a day. Besides, when the conservatives complain that the dollar coin is the joke of currency, they can explain how it's good enough for some Indian chick and Susan B. anthony but not for Reagan Smiley: grin

No love for Hamilton! Come on, the Fedralist Papers are the cornerstone of how our Government actually functions for Christ's sake.

If at all, I think Reagan would be best suited to the highest denomination printed.

Regular people will see it as often as they did that money that was supposed to "trickle down".

They really need a process similiar to what the Catholic Church uses for sainthood. A long drawn out process that takes decades to happen and among other reasons is used to weed out the "fad" prospective siants. If Reagan's popularity can survive the test of time and he is still considered a good president and is still popular 10, 20, 30 years down the road then well and good, but if in 20 years people are decrying him as the antichrist because of something we don't know now we will look a little silly with him on a $20 bill.

My history teacher always got a kick out of telling us that Woodrow Wilson died of a stroke.

Is it any wonder I do d1ck and fart jokes?

Smash's was funny. Yours was a feeble attempt at whoring for attention. I say this as someone who typically enjoys you more than him.

No, I'm serious, my history teacher really did that.

So I'm not to share any personal info that I might feel the urge to because you might consider it lame.

Gotcha.

That pretty much ends my posting career here.

Been nice knowin' ya.

You should only share if it ISN'T true. That's the message.

Don't go getting all pissy, miss. If you can't handle your panties in your crack, don't try on Flea's underwear. Besides, you never let me thinking you were a mental midget bother you before. Why start now? :)
