Just a question that goes through my mind when I read of the actions of many of these terrorist organitzations. Especially Israel and Palestine. Is it me or do their motives get them no where? They say they are killing innocent citizens (well, not innocent to them) to force Israel's hand in regards to the West Bank or so forth. Okay, where is that getting them? Absolutely no where. Israel just comes back and kills them. Ever turning cycle that hasn't stopped. Just seems really pointless.
Iraq is the same right now. So they want us out which is understandable really but do they really believe their actions are going to do that? Taking hostages? America really means it when it says it won't negotiate. Us citizens aren't that high on the priority list for them to say "Oh my the have some of our people hostages! Let's pack up the thousands of troops we have and leave and release all our own Iraqi prisoners!" Naw, that isn't going to happen.
So what is the freaking point? Osama Bin Laden, for his name to be known everywhere and anywhere, Saudia Arabia is still aligned with the US the royal family has not deferred. America is still in the Middle East and isn't really being pushed out by anyone. So again...what is the freaking point. This is probably more of a rant then a question. I just get tired of senseless death. See it enough on the streets in my own country.

Just recently there was a march, Israelis fired several "warning shots" one of which landed just feet away from the main crowd, sending shrapnel into it killing some and injuring dozens.
One 8 year old kid got a piece of shrapnel in his eye, his brother just a little bit older got one in his leg.
There are reports that the actions taken by Israel will be "criticized", though I'm unsure of what the heck that is supposed to do for anybody.
The March started out with pretty heavy numbers, but as more and more noticed that there was a tank waiting for them at the final destination, the march ended up only being about 80 strong. The last of them were throwing rocks at the tank, but really from the distance I don't know if you could say "throwing at the tank", they were so far away at that time no human could have hit the tank with a rock.
Israel claims the group had weapons and that was the reason for the "warning shots", but as of yet no weapons were found on any of the marchers, especially the dead/wounded ones.

Your average terrorist is under the impression that if they kill enough people, after enough bloodshed, the american people will give up and say "sure, you're right, we'll pull back and let you have your way with _______".

Your average terrorist is under the impression that if they kill enough people, the american people will become frightened and skittish and our economy will suffer. Also that we will drop thousands of much easier and more convienet targets into an area where they can be more easily killed or kidnapped.
They've been completely right so far.
