Hey Skeet. I was in the TROLLS the other day and say a post saying you were a Mormon. That true?
#2 May 20 2004 at 11:25 AM Rating: Good
Lol, born and raised, but I doubt my lifestyle allows me to claim Mormonism anymore.

Haven't attended that church for at least 4 years or so, I have premarital sex, I **********, and to top it all off I drink caffeinated drinks!

*gasp*

I remember posting about it, but don't recall saying I was mormon.

I really tried to believe it all, I honestly did, just couldn't do it.

I could never understand why people use the "blind faith" argument. Why is it supposed to be a good thing to believe in something that you have no actual evidence on?

All at the same time?

I was going to suggest someone mispelled 'moron', but I'm pretty sure that joke's been used

Eh, a new Empyre bashing thread wouldn't be too bad, especially if it's title is "Skeet".

A lot of publicity and hardly any real work is needed, well, at least none for the people trying to prove that he is a moron.

I was just curious as I was born and raised mormon too. Right in Salt Lake City lol. But also like you I doubt my lifestyle these days puts me in good standing with them. I still attend the meetings because I find the principles I do live make me feel better about myself(so, yes I am religious for selfish reasons). Anyhow, I was just curious. When I first read it I thought you were flame baiting. ( I never took the time to finish the thread.)

Nah, as over 90 percent of my family is Mormon, I still have a connection there, and sometimes feel the need to defend Mormon beliefs, but only when blatantly misquoted or made up by anti-Mormon fanatics. True or not, they are some of the nicest people I've ever met, and like you, the principles I do take and use make my life better, so bully me!

See I feel the same. I actually serverd a mission for the mormon church. Yeah I was one of those morons riding around on a bike in blazing heat, and to tell you the truth I learned alot doing it. I think that sticking to a religion that raises human morals is a good thing. If more ppl followed principles the world would be a lot less hectic.

It was legal until sometime in the 1970's to kill Mormon's in Missouri. (one of those old blue-book laws like "You can't eat onions before having sex" that just never got looked at and taken off because it's so stupid)

And, I think the Mormon's believe the Garden of Eden is somewhere just north of St. Joseph, Missouri. :) At the very least, there is a Mormon group up there that believes it?

I really dont know much about the Mormon religion. Does it differ greatly from Protestant? If you have one a link to a good site would be great. Thanks in advance.

I think South Park did a pretty good job of describing Mormons and their history.

How could you lose those golden tablets, Joseph?

I was referring to being raised in BFE, Utah and being forced to wear holy underwear. For having nothing to watch but girls dressed in gingham strolling by on promenade. Having intimate knowldge of the fact that your father's third wife is your uni-browed second cousin. Stuff like that.

You poor poor bastards.

Heck everybody has been there, or at least has heard that it's true from somebody that says they've been there.

That's good enough proof right?
