I am looking for some information on a particular bill that has recently passed the Senate and is on its way to the House (I think). I've been able to find information on the previous incarnations of the bill, which are about 3 and 6 years old now respectively, but I'd like to know if there's a place I can track the progress of this legislation as it moves through the system.

It's called the Production Tax Credit, and last I heard it was slipped in with some unemployment benefits extension measure.

Would have posted this in OOT but ... well, I didn't want to overload the cumulative two-digit IQ.

Yes, that's the one, thanks! I'll keep an eye on "Bill History" and hope that it extends beyond the senate.

PS how the heck do I get my search default page off MSN? That's got to be the worst search engine ever ...

Well. I'm no expert on browser use or web pages or any of that. I just type "google.com" into the bar to be honest (cause it's really not that hard to remember or type). I don't know how you configure a default search thingie. Never even thought about it.

Once on google, the search I did was the following:

Senate "production tax credit" current

go to Tools -> Internet Options. then type in the URL of the page you want IE to default to in the address bar then click Apply or Ok.

If you don't want to type the whole URL you can browse to http://www.google.com and then go to Tools -> Internet Options and click on "Use Current" then apply or ok.
