Anything really, but my heart is in Experimental Electronic music - check the link someone posted above and look under Aphex Twin & Squarepusher. Other favorites include Amon Tobin, Boards of Canada (from Scotland) and Howie B.

Rap is indeed not music, it is a form of lyrical vocalisation.

All of you who claim to listen to good music, go out and buy this CD. I just got it the other day, and it is by far one of my favorite CDs of all time.

Ehh... basically anything w/ meaningful lyrics with the exception of country and rap *cant spell Crap without (rap)*.

At the moment these are my most used on my playlist...

Godsmack ( doesn't matter what song it is ) :D
Velvet Revolver ( Scott rocks )
APC ( It's Maynard, what else is there to say? ;) )
Tool ( Same as above )

All of you country, techno, punk, and emo wussies can go suck it. And Rap doesn't count as music.

Everything else is ok, too.

Nothing screams "I'm a white male" like the statement above.

Boring.

I listen to such a variety depending on my mood. Mostly if I'm playing online, I'll have something hard in, anything from Alien Ant Farm to System of a Down. Tool is by far one of the most influential "hard" sounds I have listened to growing up..if only an artists talent could be captured in a single album and repeated in all following...but that would be selfish.

I love Drum and Bass, Hip-Hop, turntablism, lyricism...its such an art when done right. Don't be confused...there is a difference between these and rap. The last thing I really want is to hear Ja Rule talk about how bad he really is not.

The "easy-going" list is miles long, but UB40 and Jimmy Buffet helped me through those trying times in the military. Easy-going music tends to help me reach bottom when i am on the way down..that way its quicker to plant my feet and get climbing again.

Driving overall is where I do most of my listening. I have a Hip-Hop CD with Eminem, Method Man, Tech N9ne, Roni Size remix's, Nappy Roots, Tribe Called Quest and some others. I have a hard CD that is primarily System of a Down and Green Day, spackled with some Alien Ant Farm, Linkin Park and a few other minorly appealing tracks. Then, if I find road rage starting to brew (easy to have in the bay area), I listen to Jars of Clay, classical or gospel to calm my nerves...this was a recent discovery of mine..i didn't ever think i had the nerve to handle it, but it works.

EDIT: Illia, I saw Eddie Murphy in your list of tracks and almost died..i thought you actually listened to his attempt at music until I saw the Shrek soundtrack folder.

I didn't ask if you played music. I play the guitar, but that's not the point of this thread. <3
And yea, I'm a white male. So?

STP has ALOT of good stuff, not well enough known though, they need some more publicity.

Spawned, I agree. Bands like NIN have one person that's good and carries the whole band, and everyone else sucks and get's rotated in and out like dirty socks.

APCs stuff with the violin suprised me, I thought it just going to be a gimmick, worked out pretty well though.

That's the band with the lead singer who was in a cover band for Judas Preist and then became the lead singer for Judas Preist, but sucked so badly they fired him....right?

I'm listening to Modest Mouse at the moment. They might qualify as Emo I guess, but fortunately my ***** is of sufficent size that my masculinity is rarely threatened by what I listen to.

Except for showtunes, of course. They make me want to suck cock like crazy!

I have The Cruxshadows - Telementry of a Fallen Angel playing right now (good music to go to sleep by).

During the day in listening to stuff like Bella Morte, NIN, Twiztid, ICP, Mushroomhead, Fear Factory, God Lives Underwater, Meat Beat Manifesto, Underworld, Filter, Shinedown, Sevendust, Monroe Brown (local band.. bleh), From First To Last (another semi-local band, I know the lead singer, they're on Warped Tour), Flaw, etc etc etc. I would post my winamp list again but I don't feel like it.

KoRn first and foremost. Fave band of all-time. I was most definitely a ChiLd Uv KoRn long before Follow the Leader hit big.

Other than that; Disturbed, Incubus, Limp Bizkit, Static X, Sevendust, Hed (pe), Hoobastank, System of a Down, Trust Company, Puddle of Mudd, Three Day's Grace, Shinedown, Switchfoot, damn...sooo many to name. Pretty much any Metal, Hip-Hop/Rock, Alternative type music. True Hip Hop and R&B is cool too.

Nope. The last thing GLU did besides the song on the depeche mode tribute album was a set of songs released only on the net, which I am still trying to find.
