Heavy metal.

All of you country, techno, punk, and emo wussies can go suck it. And Rap doesn't count as music.

Everything else is ok, too.

"Emo"? I feel old. What's an Emo aside from a skinny pale spastic "comedian"?

Imagine that kid who's always whining about the world hates him. Now imagine him singing, with some losers attempting to play the guitar and drums.

I've got hotmetalradio.com on right now, Black Sabbath - Psycho Man.

Speaking of ***** love songs, does anyone know of a decent, spyware free P2P program? I guess Kazaa fixed it so the K-Lites don't work on their network any longer.

My last CD purchase was Holly Cole's "Shade", where she gets back into her jazz roots.

My K-Lite is working fine.

Ares and Piolet both work, but I have a hard time finding all the songs I want. Shareaza is a good program for alot of stuff, but I don't like using Gnutella and E-Donkey for music, too long in queues.

I took the midnight train to anywhere...

Styx is pretty cool, but I spend most of my time listening to Iron Maiden... But anything with real guitars in it will usually satisfy my need for music

I'll have to give K-Lite another shot. Last time I tried to download it, the site sent me to download Limewire instead which was useless. Long queues and nothing ever actually came through. I think I got one file out of maybe 100 on that POS.

I'm in love with Jack Johnson. I have listened to the albums Brushfire Fairytales and On and On literally hundreds of times each.

Not sure why I love his stuff so much. The lyrics aren't particularly insightful or witty, he's a medicore singer at best, and the melodies are very good, but not the world's greatest or anything. But despite all that, I'm absolutely mesmerized by his music. Even though I've heard The Horizon has been Defeated a gazillion times, it still gives me the chills. And despite having heard Bubble Toes on the radio enough times to drive a obsessive-compulsive autistic ****** insane, I can't help shake the feeling my pooper is leaking rainbow juice every time I hear it played. It just makes me happy.

Other Pop-Puss music I enjoy: Dido, Sarah McLachlan, Foo Fighters, Blink 182, 311.

I liked Sarah McLachlan up through Fumbling but wasn't able to get into her so much after that. That's not any sort of "I liked her before you heard of her!" crap, I fully admit to having bough her previous efforts after tracks from Fumbling were getting constant radio/MTV time. I just like the "cleaner" sound of Solace or Vox over her later efforts.

Hawkwind's Warrior On The Edge Of Time CD goes good with EQ. I listen to that one quite often when I'm in a good group. Other times I'll throw in some GWAR or Motorhead or classic 80's & 90's 'hair metal' (Skid Row & Poison and what not...)

I think the strangest music I've played while EQing was the Theme From Rocky. But that was after watching all five movies back to back.

And as a guilty pleasure, when I'm hanging around in PoK, I'll listen to that goofy I'm Blue song.

Pre-Four Blues Traveller, Grateful Dead live recordings made by me and many friends over the years, Third wave ska/skatecore stuff from a few years ago, crucial tracks my brother lays down for me from his ever increasing collection of reggae albums (he's over 5000 LPs, 12" and singles at the moment), Charlie Parker, Rage, Tool, Bowie, The Cure, Orbital, U2, Peter Gabriel, Sting, Paul Simon and many others rotate in and out of my truck on a regular basis. Damn near anything but hair bands, country and speed metal are ok with me. Bocelli doing the Verdi aureas was a favorite for a while, now I only throw it on for dinner parties.

Everybody loves a good polka! Check out the Sviraj and Otrov (links go to mp3s - if you don't speak Croatian, ignore the words).

You gotta love bluegrass too. Well, oki... you don't Have to love it, but you should at least be able to appreciate it.

By that, do you mean Andrés Segovia, Chet Atkins, Merle Travis or Django Reinhardt?

Some of the best bellydancing I've ever witnessed was to "Bubble Toes." That chick was dead sexy.

I listen to just about everything. I can't think of a single genre I don't have at least one favorite in, in three different languages. It's gotten so that I can only listen to mix CDs because anything else feels like a waste of auricular time. I recommend Launchcast at work. I'm addicted to it.

Looking for the Jack Johnson I happened to run into the following MixCD. Almost insulting, but it's true. Some people listen to one band almost obsessively. Now I'll say that there's nothing the Cure has done that I can hate on, but I can't listen to a Cure album all of the way through...
