Obviously I doubt it's a boat, but.. who cares? It's not like this is financed with our money. If some group of folks want to traipse up a mountain and look at rocks in hopes of finding a boat, power to 'em.

As far as science goes, it's an expedition to attempt to prove something. Sounds like science to me. You can spend all your money on an electron-radio holographizer to try to prove the existance of invisible flying unicorns if you'd like and it's still science.

Words like chance and coincidence are merely terms we use to describe events when we do not know or fail to recognize the true causes of things.

Sok...a piece of advice: This is not the place to get all deep and meaningful. The natives that seem to run the show don't take kindly to it.

I guess 'chance' and 'coincidence' have a lot in common with 'religion'.

I dunno, ive done some archaeology work and the idea that wood from ark would have lasted all these years with constant thaw and freeze seems unlikely.

I should bring that sucker to Lake Havisu...all the chics would want me then.

Seriously though, whats the big deal if it is or isn't the ark. If it is cool, get some DNA and bring Noah back, if it isn't then oh well change the channel.

Noah's Ark is a lovely fairy story to tell the kiddies!!
I'm just dumbfounded that any sane rational adult might think some old geezer marched animals in 2 by 2!!
I mean, c'mon, it fits right in with all the other fables.

What happens if the dig that thing up and it is Noah's Arc??? Im a Christian but I dont have an opinion nor do I really care whether or not it is the arc. Seems to me the people who are "anti christian" have a bigger stake in this than us Christians do. I dont need for it to be the arc to believe what I know is true.

There are perfectly rational reasons why such an ark might have existed. Whether the real story matches that of the Genesis account obviously is in doubt. But flood and boat building legends are quite common in the cultures of the time period in that region. One can comfortably conclude there may indeed have been one common flood, and perhaps one boat builder that sprung the legend. Cultures, then and future, would then assimilate this legend into their own, changing what can be considered minor details such as the real location of the event to one that local residents can relate to. You might say but the real location is not minor! It is quite major in a historical or archealogical sense, I'll agree, but it is not in terms of preserving the spirit of the legend.

This Cracked me up. All of you doubters out there missed a key word. Taken from that article posteed by Bluie.

Friends, please prayerfully consider the evidence you will see on Noah's Ark.

Key words are "prayerfully consider", this means if you get any information that proves that it is no tthe arc to just ignore it. Also...

It may not be important or necessary for you to learn of this discovery, but there are millions of people who need confirmation of biblical artifacts in order to strengthen their faith in God.

I thought these things shared an "exclusive or" relationship. You need faith when there is no proof, and if you have proof, what the **** do you need faith for.

Anyway, prayerfully consider... lol

You're right, it was actually 1 by 1. He lined them up, made the first one follow him by showing it some food, the others followed because they were all sniffing the *** of the animal infront of them.

Let me know the next time the flying unicorn expiriments are on the CNN science page. The attempt to legitmize this sort of ludicrous ******** is the troubling part, not that there enough gullable, mush brained idiots to finance it.

Nope. Sorry, you may have been thinking of irrational, it's a common mistake.

The assumption that there is a "real story" is frightening and telling.

What the **** are you trying to say, Stephen Hawking?

That there realy have been floods before and that people tell stories about them? No ****. How does that relate to some sevn hundred year old ************ driving a boat into a mountain because of a flood that covered the entire planet?

Are you trying to educate us to the fact that fairy tales are rawn from vaguely plausable premises? Great. You know, there was a guy once, who gave gifts to children on Chrsitmass Day. I guess it's prefectl rational that he'd have a workshop on the North Pole.

What was your ******* point? Maybe I missed it.
