So Smash, do you have evidence that Noah's Arc did not exist or are you just going on Faith that it did not? I bet you believe also that man was created from some primordial ooze that just happened to turn into living matter, or wait we came from aliens who beamed us down from there spaceship. And as far as your Santa Claus theories he may not live at the north pole, he may not have flying reindeer... Santa Claus is based off a patron Saint that gave toys too children in his village on Christmas, which spread through out the world as a wonderful thing to do to celebrate and reenact the gifts that Christ recieved on his Birthday.
Flame Away.

I can handle it.

Of even crazier...we were "created" by this god character, just for the hell of it and out of nowhere!

Oh man, that one never gets old.

Not for the hell of it. It was an insecure deity and needed beings to worship it.

No, see, stop being a moron for just a moment and think. Arguing something is not true because of a complete lack of evidence is not the same as arguing something is true because of a complete lack of evidence.

On is known as reason. One is known as faith.

I'll take reason, thanks. It allows me to make statements like "The Easter Bunny isn't a real animal that visits people ******** out chocolate eggs every year." Faith doesn't allow one to that.

One, I don't believe man was "created" at all. To think so would imply, by definition the existance of a "creator" which is assanine beyond belief. Were I to believe that we came from aliens who beamed us down from a spaceship my argument would be as logically sound as the argument that a man sailed around in a boat while the whole of the earth was flooded for fourty days.

Foruneately I don't believe either of those ludircous things.

Really? Well maybe the Noah fictional character is based off some real old guy who built a boat and kept telling everyone the world was going to flood before they stoned him to death for being a moron.

Maybe the Christ fictional character is based on some poor ******* who got nailed to a tree for tryig to scam a few schekles out of toursits by telling them he was the son of god.

Who knows?

Its easy enough for you to make these claims yourself, where is YOUR proof?

That is what these peoplpe are doing is trying to PROVE something. Not just shouting "YES THERE IS" to your "NO THERE ISNT' assinity.

well, look at it like this, it's not really crazy because no matter what you do or do not believe, something had to come from nowhere in the very beginning, did it not?

Numerous people appear to be confused here.

2. Mathematics. A segment of a circle.
3. An electric arc.
4. Astronomy. The apparent path of a celestial body as it rises above and falls below the horizon.

ark (ärk)
n.
1. often Ark Bible. The chest containing the Ten Commandments written on stone tablets, carried by the Hebrews during their desert wanderings. Also called Ark of the Covenant.
2. often Ark Judaism. The Holy Ark.
3. Bible. The boat built by Noah for survival during the Flood.
4. Nautical. A large, commodious boat.
5. A shelter or refuge.

Where's YOUR proof that I don't **** tiffany cufflinks and that everything I say isn't by definition the word of God?

Makes as much sense as what you're asking me to prove. Namely that something DIDN'T happen.

I don't know.

Here's the important bit though, Sparky:

NEITHER DOES ANYONE ELSE

What's the big freaking problem with not knowing something? Oh no, we can't say we don't know!!! Not that!! Gotta fill that void of knowledge with SOMETHING!!! ANYTHING!!!

How about a book of stories about men livig inside of whales and sailing around in boats when the Earth floods completely and about a guy who gets nailed to a tree?

GREAT!! ANYTHING!!! So long as we don't have to say "I don't know!!!"

You attempt to quantify that which is inquantifiable. You attempt to ascertain origins on material in existence for nearly 5 billion years, and that's just since the theorized big bang. Perhaps a 10 billion year process or longer before that since the last big bang and eventual re-coallescence. Rinse, repeat for a few cycles. Do you have any idea what sort of an expanse that is in reality? It is infathomable, and you wish to quantify it. Does that strike anyone else as completely idiotic? Some things just are (or may be, as it were).

Okay so You Don't Know and from what I gather you don't care too know. However, some people do care to know. Hence the expidetion to see if the Ark truly exists, Hence why all this started on your beloved CNN Science page it's all science, it's all about Theories and most of all it's all about Faith. You don't have too believe in anything but for the most part you should believe in something. If you believe were exist just to make polution and tall building then die and turn to dust then so be it. So of us broden our minds a little bit and ask Why!
