100,000 Australians have died in wars over the past century.
Why am I saying this? Well yesterday was Anzac Day, I think you have a Veterans Day in the US.
There was an Anzac Day service in Gallipoli, Turkey, the place where it all started. Our govt had a travel advisory against going there for fear of terrorist attack, but 12,000 went anyway, 2,000 more than last year. And it's a 9k hike to get to the site.
Anyway I never realised the number was so huge, guess most of those died in World War I, which is still the nastiest war ever.
