back to robot sex it is..

i'm actually contemplating trying to get someone to take a picture of me humping a robot with my camera phone here and posting it, but can't think of anyone here that would actually do it without reporting me to HR.

they are post college students. and only one of them is actually american. the rest are german, taiwanese and japanese. besides preserving my integrity as an instructor, condoning fooling around lasers and robots is not something that would exactly be looked upon as stellar in this company.

i would have to do it on the D.L. and when one of the instructors that is a little more open minded is around. plus, despite what many make me out here to be without knowing me, i am a pretty professional and respected instructor.

Show me a thread over 40 posts long that isn't hijacked several times. 'LAST' threads and any thread created for the sole purpose of either karma-camping or postcount-building doesn't count.

Of course the thread was hijacked. Of course damn near every thread gets hijacked in order to get past 40 posts. Maybe some of the political ones are exempt. But if you asked "Hey, Joph, do threads usually get hijacked?" I'd have said "Why yes, Thundra. Yes, they do." Erm... what's your point?

I'd have an easier time looking convincingly indifferent if you could let me in on what I'm indifferent to. That I mentioned Katie?

Jophiel: It stopped being about you a long time ago.

Thundra: Not anymore.

Jophiel: Huh. I guess so. Of course, then we were immediately distracted into a conversation about robot sex, so.. I dunno. Whatever, I guess.

Thundra: I'm not smart enough to understand the relevance of what you just said, but I do know that threads are always hijacked.

Joph, I was just challenging your assertion that since the thread ceased focusing solely on Katie for assorted short periods of time, that the thread wasn't really 'about' her.

Even as we exchange pointless mini-diatribes, we are still talking about her.
