Go Lightning. Nothing like an upstart, cinderella team to win it all (should've been Anaheim or Minnesota last year).

F#ck the Redwings and f#ck the Avalanche.

Bertuzzi? Love? Even after he sucker punched that Avalanche player in the head and drove him face first into the ice, breaking his neck and causing lacerations to the face? IMO, he should've been suspended all through the playoffs for that one. Friggin psycho.

GO CUBBIES!

Fun Facts

  • The Bruins are 24-5 all-time when holding a 2-0 lead in a playoff series.

  • With a 3-0 win in game one of this series, Andrew Raycroft became the first Bruins rookie goaltender to earn a playoff shutout since Don Simmons notched two in 1957.

  • Raycroft was the first Boston rookie goaltender to earn a shutout in his first career playoff game since Cecil “Tiny” Thompson shutout the Canadiens by a 1-0 score on Mar. 19, 1929.

  • Game three is tonight. Go Bruins!

Yeah, Bertuzzi did sucker punch him to the back of the head, in retaliation for Moore's own dirty play a few games before. A dumb move? Yes. However, the broken neck and facial lacerations probably came from Moore's teammates dogpiling on the pair of them after the hit.

He is suspended through the playoffs, but that's ok. He can still sleep over at my house. Smiley: wink

You're smarter than that Tare. Retaliation was the hit earlier in the game. The event being retaliated for, when watched in slow-mo replay, involved the other player catching an edge and taking a bad fall in to Moore's elbow. Granted, he would have killed him had the other guy not caught the edge, but he caught an edge and fell none the less. Also, slow-mo replays of the Bertuzzi hit show Moore falling limp to the ice with the Todd falling on his neck, so it is HIGHLY unlikely that the injuries were caused by pilers on. Here's hoping the BC authorities file charges.

And to the rest of this thread, I believe it was the South Park parental units who said it best...

"They're not even a real country anyway." :)

    Nevertheless, consider my boat floated.

Hey, I feel sorry for Moore, but I don't think that Bertuzzi meant to break his neck, if he was, in fact, responsible for the break. There have been no charges laid whatsoever, remarkably and perhaps notably. It was a bonehead move, no doubt about it.

The worst part about Bertuzzi is his fake apology. He used the same cop-out apology that celebrities and politicians have been using for years:

    "I'm sorry for what happened."

As if he had no responsibilty for it, it just...happened.

Be a man and say "I'm sorry for what I DID."

(The other fake apology you see a lot is "I'm sorry if I offended anyone.")
