My sister in law has been doing some research into our familiy tree for several years. She came a cross this article...

... written by a member of a Civil War Re-enactment Regiment who was researchinig the 110th Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, who discovered a cache of letters at the Pennsylvania Historical Society written by Enoch T. Baker, a member of Company G of the 110th. Enoch Baker was my great-great uncle. The Frederick Schaffer mentioned was my great-great grandfather.

Doubtless this will mean less to all of you than it does to me, but it is interesting reading nonetheless.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

The staff of the Baltimore Civil War Museum is well aware of Andy Waskie and his efforts on behalf of Gen. Meade, the 110th Pa. and the Civil War Memories of Pa. and the rest of the country. Thanks for sharing.

For other reading of letters or journal I suggest Dear Emma and Under a Yellow Flagpublished by the Md. Historical Society Press.

Poor is the nation that has no heros.
Sad is the nation that having them, forgets.
