It's my boyfriend and my third "anniversary" tonight. Ok, ok it's not like a real anniversary that wedded people have but we still like to mark the passing of another stellar year with some sort of celebration. What should we do tonight? Suggestions? And yes, "gettin' it on" is probably in the cards so save it, pervs!

that very much depends on your interests. theres formal stuff all the way down to the cliche dinner and movie. the "better" stuff usually involves planning in advance, but there is still a bunch of tricks in the realm of spontaneity.

if your outdoors types, go on a hike somewhere. if you both have a sense of humor, there are tons of comedy shows around that you can have a full course meal at...they cater to a full evening and are kinda cool. if you are both gamers, wait until tomorrow and go to the FFXI release party at the Metreon in SF. Edmonton, Alberta. It's cold here so outdoor activity is probably out.

Dinner at a nice place perhaps? Like somewhere that doesnt require supersizing? Then try some sort of semi cultral event. Possibly a movie but maybe somehting more, I don't know what you got up there. And if your gonna get it on, make it some good getting on. Toss in whatever oils and odds and ends you feel like. Good times had by all.

Make a Kao cheesecake. It heats the house, and it's made out of cheese. what more could you want?

Tim(Kao)'s Creamy Cheesecake
Step 1
Crust:
Ingrediants:
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped cashews
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
5 tablespoons butter, melted

In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, chopped cashews, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and melted butter. Mix well and press into the bottom of a 10 inch springform pan. Bake in preheated oven for 6-7 minutes.

Step 2:
Cheesecake:
1-1/2 pounds ricotta cheese
1 pound cream cheese
1 cup white sugar
6 eggs
3 tabelspoons all-purpose flour
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Cream together ricotta cheese, cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Mix in the eggs one at a time. Add flour one tablespoon at a time, mixing well. Stir in the sour cream and vanilla. Pour mixture into the 10-inch spring form pan with your crust mixture at the bottom.
3. Place cheesecake in the middle of the oven, making sure that it is not too close to the top heating element. Bake for 90 minutes. If the top of the cheesecake begins to brown, cover it with Aluminum foil.
4. After 90 minutes turn oven off, but leave the cake in the oven for another 60 minutes (do not open door. this allows the cake to cool without cracking. Step can be eliminated if you are short on time).
5. Cool on counter for 60 minutes and then refrigerate. Serve when thoroughly chilled.

Notes: Ricotta and cream cheese amounts can be swapped for a smoother cheesecake.

Blueberry Sauce:
1 part frozen blueberries to ½ part sugar. Heat over medium low heat until sugar is dissolved and sauce is thickened.

Since "getting it on" is part of the action, that yummy Kao recipe could be licked off of a variety of interesting body parts Smiley: wink

That is a good recipe. It takes forever to make though, so best not plan on going anywhere for awhile. Too bad I could not make cheese cakes for the shop I now have to use a wholesale bakery.

For something to do on an anniversary? you're really asking this on a gaming forum with people whose only anniversary they celebrate is when they first got it on with rosy palmer?

My suggestion is you cook a great dinner, dress up really sexy for the ol' bird and then get comfy on the couch with a good porno in the dvd player and let nature take its course.

- Yes I'm a pervert.

It was great! We went for Mexican food, drank some marguaritas and then picked up a couple movies (not ****; sorry Stok!!) and chilled at home. Very quiet, and very nice.

What happened "after hours" is between me, my b/f, the neighbors and God. Smiley: wink

Now, now, Stok. We have allowed you to become a business owner and candidate for the chamber of commerce, showing your signs of maturing(?) and selling out to become part of the establishment. Can you not allow for some of us to have had actual boy/girl, boy/boy, girl/girl or either/sheep lovin? Rose may make for a nice distraction, but I have been enjoying regular interludes with the neighbors St. Bernard for a good long while now. :)

Oops. Shame I missed this post, but I guess that's what I get for only visiting once or twice a week.

My choice for future anniversaries : Do something you've never done before. Big or small. You may like it, you may hate it, but it'll be memorable.

Make sure that it's something both of you have never done. It's the actual act of having a first together that sets the event.
