VERY witty to tell me I shouldn't use the built-in features of formatting of this board *lol*

Next time you criticise me for forming letters to words and words to sentences I suppose....

Why is that lame, Leiany? Because I don't feel the need to force my opinion down everyone's neck right from the get-go? Because I like to hear what other people have to say before I engage them in discussion? You have provided no discussion, at all, anywhere.

So, now to my much-awaited opinion...I am not a racist in any way, shape or form. What's more...I completely disagree with the article, which I stated above, but I wouldn't expect you to know that, Leiany, since you don't seem to read entire threads before posting. Well done. I just find it interesting that the editor of an academic journal would choose this line of reasoning and blatantly express his opinion that whites are now the target of racism, as opposed to blacks, asians, latinos etc. I was interested in others' opinion of the writing - and feelings on racial discourse. So, I invite you to comment on the article and it's contents, and not on me personally. The article is meant to stir up discussion, not ignorant attacks.

Grow up.

Racism - the worst of the worst?

Although racism exists and disgusts me, it is not the worst of the worst. I've been discriminated against. Lost my job over it as well as a promotion. My last boss was racist but due to a lawsuit she brought against the company several years prior, the number of people around her that had the time or desire to get her removed were next to nonexistant.

As painful as it was to me to loose a job that I had held and done work at for seven years it doesn't compare to the level of "bad" some other things that have affected my life.

Somebody very close to me was raped at a college party. Although it was many many years ago she still has issues now and then stemming from being raped. For the longest time I was bound and determined to find the f'ucker and make him bleed profusely for a long time. It has not only affected her outlook in life but for a long time her getting raped made me question the human race as a whole. This to me if far worse than me getting discriminated against because of the color of my skin.

Next up is the guy that killed my best highschool friend Jeff. Little background about Jeff and I. My family moved from a town I had gotten comfortable in to a backwoodish redneck infested part of the country. Being a bit of a geeky nerd there were plenty of people that enjoyed picking on the new nerd because he wouldn't fight back. Jeff stepped in and basically saved me from several years of total misery. Jeff lost his dad when he was an infant so his mother had to work a lot just to make ends meet. Right before the final semester of our senior year the company that Jeff's mom worked at went under. She had to move out of the area in order to keep a roof on their heads. Jeff begged his mother to let him stay. After talking things over with my parents and several other of Jeff's friends we all agreed to let Jeff stay at each of our places for 2-3 weeks each so Jeff could graduate in the only town he had ever lived in. Finally graduation rolled around and Jeff made the 4 or so hour drive to pick his mother up so she could come to the ceremonies. The diploma's were handed out and when things were all wrapped up Jeff drove his mother back home. On his way back this drunk ******* went over the median and hit Jeff head on. Imagine a jacked up full size truck against a Toyota Corolla - not pretty.

The worst part of the accident imo was the 3-5 year sentence for vehicular manslaughter. The ****** should have gotten at least 20 if not fried.

So as you can see, racism imo is nowhere near the worst of the worst. More glorified in newspapers/magazines/radio/tv and touted by people that have loud voices is more accurate imo.

Bad

Bad

Don't open your mouth unless you have something intelligent and/or funny to say.

Racism is actually kind of hypocritical in and of itself. Why? Black people can be racist, no problem. Latinos can be racist, easy. Women can be sexist, which is just racism with a different target, and nobody cares. But if a white male has ANY racist views or says anything remotely controversial, he's automatically a hate-monger.

WTF is up with that?

They want our racism. First our land, then our women, then our Gods, and now our ability to cry racist. Greedy bastards.

Oh, wait, I don't have one anymore. It's been turned it to a nursery. Curses! Foiled again.

Come on, is that even funny anymore?

Better yet, was it ever?

I've always assumed that another man's woman is just something you don't fu'ck with, kind of like premature, retarded baby jokes-you just don't go there.

To the Moe's and Murth's and TwiSted's; show some fu'cking respect would you? Especially Murth, you are still a huge jack-*** in my book.

There are ways you can annoy me and make lame attempts at being funny at my expense without dragging Flea into it, not that I'm suggesting you twits are clever enough to find out how exactly.

You all bore me, I must sleep now. Smiley: snore

Come on, you silly man. That was funny. I wasn’t taking a shot at Flea. I was taking a shot at myself as much as anything. It suprises me that your skin keeps in the bodies moisture sometimes, Skeeter. As thin as you make it out be you would get raspberries putting on jeans in the morning. As obviously happy as she is with her Mexi-“can”, I would think you would have a bit more self confidence than to think it’s all about you. Does your low self-image require medication? Or just regular visits to the man with the chaise couch?

You just confessed. Every ******* can wait for others to tell their opinion, then jump on them and pick their arguments apart. But it takes some balls to state what side your on first and give others the opportunity to take a shot at you.

A clever @sshole is still an @sshole.

Hey, I DO show respect to other guy's women. That's off limits. I don't make fun of Flea, she just used to scare the **** outta me. Remember the thread about the OOT party? She said she'd kill me! EEK!!!

As far as the premature retarded baby jokes, can't make any promises there -=)

Lol, no, it's not like I ever think she'd leave me for you, or decide to cheat on me with you, but it's not like I expect her to run off with the sleazy Hispanics that glare and whistle at her either, I still don't like that it happens though, and no amount of "come on, it's a joke"'s can make me think otherwise.

Capiche?

Yes, I know it was a joke, that's why I asked if it is even funny

Anyhow, what was this thread about? Oh yeah, I'm racist against Jesus.

Everybody and everything is fair game in my opinion, doubly so if the target of an insult or suggestive implication is a poster on the board. I may be an annoying *******, but at least I'm immorally consistent.

If your assertion that signifant others are 'untouchable' was simply bait or a double-dog dare, then please disregard the above.

Nothing is sacred, at least not in the written world.
