Warning: not work safe, full of bad words, grammar, and typo's.

I mean c'mon! If you sell something on E-bay, and it's glass, for ******* pete's sake wrap the f*cking thing in bubblewrap! I pay good money (well not every time) for the stuff I buy, so at least do me the curtesy of taking time and care to get my items in ONE FRICKEN PIECE! Smiley: banghead

FYI, I am re-doing my kitchen in Coca-Cola. Yes I love Coke, but rarely drink it due to caffeine allergy. I have been purchasing some items on ebay as the items I want are no longer made, so e-bay is USUALLY quick, easy, and painless.

Then there are those ********* that send you your glass items in a box wrapped in newspaper!!!! OMG the box travels 100's if not 1000's of miles, is THROWN vigorously by delivery personnel. Does it not make sense to at least put the damn thing in some bubblewrap? It's cheap, does it's job well, and is fun to play with afterward -- so I get a bonus! Smiley: yippee

But there is nothing more disgusting to me at this very moment than to open what I consider a present, to find it in a million pieces, then realize I just paid for broken glass! WTF! Smiley: mad

ok I feel better now, Smiley: rolleyes well kind of.

Ack, that really sucks. I don't know a whole lot about Ebay, but I guess there's no guarantee?

On a better note: bubble wrap > all.

Doh, that completely sucks. Hopefully you can at least get the insurance money for it from the shipping company back.

What kind of glass coke thing was it?

Nah, bubblewrap is too old-fashioned. Need the corn/rice packing material that dissolves, so you can make cereal after unpacking!

Broken glass can be kinda interesting when scattered under the right light :)

Or maybe just grind it right up into a nice powder and save it for someone special..

Sorry - just looking for consolation prizes here :(

(ohh and don't forget to post the feedback report)

Can you at least tell what it used to be? Perhaps a lovely feature of this new theme kitchen could be a wall mosaic?

Do not just accept it.
First give the seller the lowest ebay rating.
Then complain to ebay, and ebay will contact seller.
I am both a seller and buyer on ebay, and have never had a problem that was not fixed.
I got a broken item that was packed very poorly for Xmas, and I had my choice of fixes from the seller. Finally got all my money back including S&H (rather have the item of course or I would not have bought it, but getting money back is second best.) Most sellers do not want their ratings messed up, because people who buy all the time DO pay attention.
Before I bid on an item, I read any "bad" posts.

If you paid through PayPal, they also have similar dispute resolution. So does Amazon.

Now if the item was packed well, and you declined insurance, and it still broke, it would be different.

I saw it and thought it was silly, so I put it up for a while. I'll probably take it down in a bit.

Here is an example of what it was :Ebay Coke Canister Item

For my items I paid $15 then shipping and crap, items sent with $100 in insurance, just waiting for seller to contact me back.

You can't always trust sellers to add the insurance even if you paid it, I bought something end of last year and that ***** still hasn't answered my emails. The items he sent were in an envelope with no insurance added. He just pocketed the change, and I mean it was only change. And I just loathe having to give them bad feedback, cause then they will do the same to me and mine is perfect.

On the otherhand, no, I don't drink Vanilla Coke. If I am going to have to suffer in the end with hives, you can be assured I'm going full blown original (sort of) Coke.

What an A--head...... Can' you contact E-Bay and have that other guy' account revoked?
#15 Feb 19 2004 at 8:30 PM Rating: Good
hmm

I drink 3 litres of Coca-Cola a day which probably isn't too good for me but I have an addictive personality.

Still - probably safer than 3 litres of Guinness a day - those student days are well over.

Sorry to hear that happened Darkflame.

At least you are insured by the sounds of it. Having had the same happen to myself before I can empathise completely.

If my decorative sense should ever deteriorate to the point where I feel compelled to adorn my walls and cabinets with Coke bottles, I'd like to think that God would be kind enough to step in and break the bottle in transit - as he did with you - thus preventing me from making a catastrophic home-fashion mistake. Hell, I'd consider myself lucky if he broke the bottle into a thousand pieces and then lodged each of the resulting glass slivers into the lining of my ******, if by doing so, it prevented the bottle from causing me to be the target of cruel mockery by all of my friends. Err, friend.

God has an unusual sense of humor, and right now I think you're the butt of one of his jokes; a joke which places you smack dab in the middle of an episode of '***** Eye', or whatever the straight female version of the reality show is named.

That's 'zactly what Skeeter was overheard to have said upon return from his first foray to the Backdoor Lounge.

That was pretty funny at 7:30 in the morning with only one cup of coffee in me. Smiley: clown
