Have you ever had one? Wanted one? How do you feel about them?

I actually feel fear, when I see a well-coiffed mullet. So, in-your-face...so large...so cobra-like.

Tell me about your mullet. I want to hear all about it.

Oh it's not dead. I saw a long one just the other day. I was wishing I'd had a camera, haha.

I actually got a book on mullets as a gift a few years back; it has classifications for all the different types and whatnot, hehe.

Skeet and I once saw a whole family full of them. Shaved all along the bottom, and a big long curly fall/braid type thing in back. Oh,the horror.

Occasionally when I don't bother to get my hair cut, it grows out long and covers the whole back of my neck almost down to the shirt collar. Like now, since I'm letting my hair stay long to keep my head warm for the winter. I don't know if it's technically a mullet or not, just long and shaggy.

Is it short on the top and sides, while being long and shaggy at the back? If yes, you are with mullet.

Someone needs to explain to Merri that having long hair with bangs is NOT a mullet. *sigh* She goes on these mullet rampages.

Mullets are definately not dead here in Georgia. Smiley: oyvey

Is it wrong that whenever I see someone with one I automatically assume they are stupid? I mean, certainly a hair cut can't actually change your IQ...

I keep the bangs, so I guess no, it's not a mullet.

Oh, the mullet is definately not dead here in the bible belt, where I live. And coincidentally, all mullets owners truly are retarded: a phenomena I see well documented everytime I go visit my mom in her white-trash-redneck-hillbilly town.

I think you have to be an idiot to get a mullet, therefore it's safe to assume they're mutually exclusive.

I have long hair with bangs too, Merri. NOT a mullet.

Had one in High School...

I was purdy kool!

Glad I got rid of it though, I'd be living in a trailer park if I hadn’t.

I'm happy to say that I've never had a mullet, even before I knew what a mullet was. My long hair is unfettered with the silliness of shaving the sides, or shortening the top, or any of that other nonesense. Um... I did have my hair layered on occasion back in the 80s, but that's not the same (really!). More of the rocker look.

Today, I pretty much just let it grow out evenly. It's a hell of a lot easier to put it in a pony tail if I need to, and it lays out better that way as well. It also makes the ol receeding hairline a bit less obvious. Unless of course I'm dong the pony tail bit, in which case I don't care anyway (going for a different look).

Now if I ever develop an actual bald spot (knocks on wood), I'll just have to shave my head. No way am I gonna be one of those dorks with the combovers, or the masses of hair going over an obvious bald area. Would suck though. I've had long hair pretty much my entire adult life...

It's time to play "SPOT THE MULLET!!!" You too can win fabululous cash prizes if you can guess which of the following items is, in fact, a mullet.

item 1
Item 2
Item 3
Item 4
Item 5
Item 6
Item 7
Item 8
Item 9
Item 10

Looking at the link text is cheating.

First person to get them all right wins... Something?

yeah mullets are wrong and should be illegal in the U.S.

did you guys ever see that show called "The Mullets"? it was on FOX for acouple of episodes then it was kicked off the air, stupidest show ever.

I thought picking on mullets would be like picking on Enron or Martha but then I realized, actually there must be people who think they are just the bee's knees for having one.

Oh how their self-images would be crushed if they read this thread!

Or perhaps they actually *know* most people will think they not so cool but it is like the secret sign of entry into a subculture I have no access to or experience with.

Maybe when they get that haircut they get a secret decoder ring, too.
