What do you think about fat people? I mean, really, deep down inside...have you ever looked at a fat person and disliked them instantly? Have you discriminated just because? Been filled with disgust at the sight of lard in lycra?

I'd like to hear all about it.

I'm a big boy myself, so not really. Now then, I'm not like OBESE, you know, with thirty layers of chins, but I have a decent sized beer belly.

I have to admit that when I see someone that’s "Sloppy Fat" I do instantly form an opinion about them.

Although I don't discriminate, I am quite disgusted...go for a walk or something you sloppy biaaaach! And for the love of God, don't wear spandex!

Well, there may be a medical reason for fat

BUT there is no medical reason know to man for lyrca, its revolting, I mean it is the worse stuff ever evented - you got a tiny little bulge somewhere that shouldn't be there it'll grab it and hug it and grow it fifty zillion times.

And while we are on the subject, heads up for you beer bellys out there - vests, hairy armpits and beer bellys do NOT mix - they are REVOLTING, yuk (now show me a nice pair of legs, you may be getting somewhere or even better a dinky .... no best not go there .. no no no no)

phew

Orca fat in lycra should be a hanging offense, but then again orca fat hanging is a good recipe for a broken rope.

Pleasingly plump, on the other hand (ie: cushioned comfort on the down stroke...) is nice to see.

I like a woman with a little meat on thier bones. None of this Britney Spears crap for me. I've known more "fit" people who drop dead at 30 than I do "comfortably round" people.

[---Rant Deleted----]

A little chunky is ok, but if you have to wash yourself with a yardstick with a rag tied to it, time to turn of Jerry Springer and get a little exercise.

I have judged fat people upon occasion, but I try really hard not to. The only time I let loose is when their issues get out of hand and they try to make you feel sorry for them, or dump on you for some other reason.

There seem to be two different kinds of overweight people.

1. The ones that, at least on the surface, don't let their weight define who they are. They still dress nice and generally look clean and well cared for. They have good attitudes about life and it would take you extra work to focus on the fact they are overweight because their personality pushs that fact aside.

2. The bitter ones that can't be bothered with their appearance in the least and look pissed off all time. They hate being fat and make sure everyone knows it.

The former don't bother me at all. If they are happy with themselves, I have no place to judge them. The latter irritate the hell out of me.

No matter what size you are you should watch what outfits you wear. There are just things that don't look good (a bikini on a 450 lb person, for example).

My father is extremely fat, he's tipped the scales at 400lbs at times (on a 6'3" frame). I remember when I was younger, trying to hug him and not getting my arms all the way around his belly. It's likely a genetic condition, since my sisters are both a bit on the large side (but nowhere near our father) so there isn't an awful lot that can be done. Now he has a host of medical conditions, including adult diabetes and congestive heart failure. Currently he's in the hospital and not doing well.

So I tend to have a measure of sympathy and pity for largely fat people. Of course, the fact that I am dangerously underweight (inherited from my mom) doesn't help a lot.

I do and I bet a lot of people here do. Not sure how this fits into a tread about fat people. The last book I read was Daughter of the Drow. I'm a litte behind in my reading. I am currently reading everything Michael Moorecock has written. I'm on book 2 of the Elric Series (have read almost everything else).
