Ok, heres the story: Me and the girl I am "quasi-involved" with have been friends for about a year now. She is actually the best friend of MY best friend's ex-girlfriend. Kind of complicated.

Well, this girl (Jess) who broke up with my best bud (Brian) still wanted to be friends, and for once it wasn't girl code for ********** off".

Anyways, me and Val (thats the girl i like's name) were always kind of the safety-friend. They brought us along so that when they saw eachother, they didn't feel akward or anything. We got along great, and there was always a little sexual tension between us.

Well, we (my best friend and I) decided to go out with these girls on New Year's Eve this year. We went to the club, me, Biran and his new lady-friend, my other good friend Ryan, Val and Jess.

While at the club, Jessica, who was really drunk, started some drama with Val. These two are really close, so Val turned into a wet towel (figurtively). And me, being the typical nice guy, was there to talk to her and such. Well, we danced, and at midnight, we kissed. Her exact words after that were, "Do you know how long I've been waiting for that?"

Anyways, we went back to my friend's house for the afterparty, and started drinking. After talking to her about it a bit, I learned that she had liked me for a long time, just as I had liked her. Good times were had that night by all.

A week after that, we were supposed to go out, just me and her, but whe brought along Jessica, who kind of acted like her keeper for the night. Not fun.

Well, when we finally had plans to go out on a date, that night, my dog ate a whole bottle of advil. She got really sick, and we thought we were going to have to put her down. Not the best time for a date.

I didn't call her until the next day. But that night, after I called her, I went out with Brian (best friend) and ended up kissing one of his gf's friends. I felt kind of guilty, and then she told me she had a boyfriend. Now I felt like a douche.

Anyways, I talked to Val after I got back to school, and the reason she didn't want to be alone with me was because she didn't want to get hurt, which is what happened to Jess and Brian when he left for college. We agreed that we still liked eachother, and I still talk to her like 2-3 times a week.

Thus the quasi-involvment. This doesn't really matter come Valentine's Day, but when summer rolls around, we'll see what happens.

Summer, that's when all the randy dogs come out! Hehe. Well, that sounds like a pain in the ***, Twizted, if you don't mind me saying so. Then again, "relationships" are just as f-ed up. Yay! Human interaction is fun!

Are you going to try and win her over?

Well Tare hunny, I know that she likes me. She told me in plain English. So I don't think I need to win her over, just get her to stop listening to her friend who is giving her bad advice which was relevent to her relationship, not ours.

/rant off

Hmmm, though I can only speak from my own experience, I have never stopped myself from getting what I truly want. Friend or no friend. I don't know, Twizted, maybe a convenient excuse? How do you know she really likes you?

And what's not to like?

Nothing not to like. I think I'm a pretty cool guy. And if she's dodging me, she's got another thing coming.

EEERRRRRGGGGGGG!!!! This isn't helping!!

He he he.

Ok, I'm sorry, Twizted. I shouldn't drive you mad just to entertain myself. Good luck with your little chickie. Hope you get some 'tang over the summer. Yay!

God I'm so confused. I need to stop reading posts here when I first wake up. Somewhere in there I forgot which one Jess was and which one Val was. Which lead me to think you were kissing your friend's ex. Or is that what happened? gah.

Umm, yeah, here's some advice that should work either way: Follow your heart. Yeah.

No, I wasn't kissing my friend's ex. That would be just sick. And thanks for the advice, that's what I've been trying to do all along, but life is getting in the way >.<

Wait, so you're saying you were there to console Val, right? And she's the girl that you've liked for a long time? Just trying to get this whole story straight in my head, for I am just a little sleep deprived at the moment.

Yes, I was the nice person there to console her and try and cheer her up. And yes, she was the girl I liked.

I know that all of this is hard to follow. It's worse than a Russian Soap Opera. But hey, it makes sense to me, and that's all that matters -=P
