The ripe old VP has been taking a lot of heat lately. Firstly there's his ties to "Whoops we forgot to carry the Billion! Again." Haliburton.

Then there's his mysterious "duck hunting trip" with Anton Scalia which was naturally paid for by you and me. Oh, did I mention Scalia was hearing a case involving Cheney at the time? How do you think people would have reacted if OJ took Judge Ito out hunting during the trial?

Now, at last there's the report that it was two of Cheney's highest aides (Including Scooter Libby which makes me all light headed with the thought that that particular ******* might be politically dead) who leaked the Valery Palme stuff.

Maybe Rudy really will be VP when bush runs this time...

When is the report on the leaking coming out? Haven't heard about that. Offhand, though, as 75% of Fox viewership still believe Iraq was responsible for 9-11 I think Bush will still be safe for the next election. *******.

Naw, Smasharoo is just a closet member of PETA and is offended by the taking of innocent duckly lives. He doesn't mind Cheney so much as the unmitigated slaughter of helpless waterfowl.

Nah, that would be my wife.

That's a trade I'd like to see. Bush gets reelected but not under the influence of Cheney. Not optimal but at least better.

Zero chance Cheney will be replaced. Bush already has commented on that. Notwithstanding another coronary, Cheney is guaranteed to be on the ticket. He'll weather the storm, just like Bush will weather any controversy over Iraq, 9/11, etc. Plus, the Democrats are really inept when it comes to piecing everything together into a coherent criticism of Bush & Co.

As far as Rudy is concerned...come on..the guy is from New York...and he's Italian. I can't see too many good ole boys from the South and West getting too excited by that. Heck, many of them are saying Bush isn't conservative enough.

Zero? Really? So if he dies, they'll do what? Violate the Consitution and just have him free dried and prop him up on stage?

Think before you type.

And we all know that he's never lied in the name of political expidence. Hang, on laughing so hard I have to ****.

Ok, I'm back. WELL if BUSH ASSURED US I guess it's a done deal then. Ha Haha Hahaha. Sorry.

Bush isn't going to "weather the storm" he's allready slipping in polls to the point where Kerry beats him if the election is held today. It's only going to get worse. Now he might win the election but if he does it'll be because of the countries fear of the culture war. Gay Marrige or whatever will become the central issue.

Riiight. That's why Bush is scrambling around like a little ***** setting up pannels and granting more time for investigations. That's why the RNC is desperately pre-spinning Kerry before he's even been nominated. That's why the President's lack of National Guard service is in newspaper headlines again. That's why Bush's numbers COLLAPSED after the State of the Union adress. Gee, why is that?

Because people KNOW HE IS LYING NOW. Diffrent political landscape entirely.

What choice do they have? Seriously, what are they going to do, vote for Kerry instead? Works for me!

Really, Smash...please read the entire message before you reply. I know you like to take things out of context and belittle people in your responses...but that just shows how insecure and immature you are. As I further stated with this condition, 'short of another coronary', Cheney's the man.

Geez...well that's what Republicans do. How perceptive of you. If you check out my response in a similar thread, you'll see that I stated that Republicans are already branding him as a Yankee Liberal out of step with the morals of middle-America.

Rudy will NEVER be Bush's running mate. Look to 2008 to see his name running for President. My guess is that he'll probably contest Hillary's seat in the Senate in a couple of years, beat her, then as a Senator, go on to try for the White House. While many people admire his job post 9/11, he has a lot of personal picadillos to account for.

After he's stalled the 9/11 commission by not cooperating, why not extend it? He can extend it past election time..that's what I'd do. Have the findings come out after November.

The RNC has SO MUCH money to spend, why not start now? It looks like Kerry's the man, so start planting the seeds of doubt into people's minds. Doesn't smack of desperation as much as shrewdness.

Hardly anyone knows or really cares about Bush's National Guard service. He was HONORABLY DISCHARGED, plus he's already the president...who gives a sh*t now? Just like his DUI arrest...yesterday's news that doesn't mean a thing.

As far as his falling poll numbers, well, gee whiz, Americans oversees keep on dying, the economy still isn't generating jobs, and everyone knows that he cares more about wealthy oilmen more than Joe Sixpack, and the national deficit is balooning past 500 Billion.

Even so, Democrats (except Bill Clinton) are disorganized and inept at making political hay about this stuff. They've lost both the Senate and the House...and it looks like they'll probably lose more seats in the House thanks to Texas gerrymandering. Plus, Kerry has a very weak legislative record..he's not FOR anything. One of his biggest criticisms is that he picks the cause du jour, and quickly forgets about it. Kerry is hardly the man to get excited about.

While I general agree with the bulk of your post, I think Bill was gifted at dodging mudpies rather than throwing them. But, like playing defense, holes will appear. The GOP slime machine is very good at finding weakness, and gets very very testy when anyone questions their boy. The administration is on D now, and I like to see them sweat. Bush better come off more genuine on Meet The Press than the SOTU if he wants to retain any respect.

To all you conservatives who feign outrage at democratic candidates (and supporters) attacks on Bush, that is thier job as the opposition! If the Bush team would stop being so cagey and secretive we might back off a little.

Pardon me, but I assumed that your post wouldn't instantly contradict itself. Obviously I gave you far too much credit. In point of fact I didn't take anything out of context. The context of "Zero chance Cheny will be replaced" is pretty clear I think. I realize that you became aware that you were full of **** about halfway through your post and tried to qualify that statement.

Here's some advice for the future:

READ WHAT YOU'VE PREVIOUSLY WRITTEN BEFORE YOU HIT THE "POST MESSAGE KEY"

That one was free, kid.

Really? That's amazing. Irrelevant to anything I posted, but amazing. You were able to decipher all on your own that Republicans were branding Kerry as a Yankee Liberal!!?? Shocking!! All more the shocking considering he IS a Yankee Liberal! You sir, are a deductive genius on the order of Sherlock Holmes! I say, please blees us with a "Watson, the game is afoot!"

Your "guess" is that he'll do what he's OFFICALLY STATED he'll do? I say again, AMAZING!!

He has no chance in hell of unseating Hillary, by the way. None.

Because by extending he's addmitting there may be culpability by his adminstration for 9-11. PLEASE postpone the findings untill after the election. Then Dems can spin the unkown all they want. They'll have him flying one of the planes by the election.

No, it smacks of desperation. It smacks of "Hey the poll numbers are down, DO SOMETHING!! ANYTHING!! Hell, go on Meet the Press!"

Quote:

Hardly anyone knows or really cares about Bush's National Guard service. He was HONORABLY DISCHARGED, plus he's already the president...who gives a sh*t now?

WRONG AGAIN. Everyone gives a **** now. It's a crippling issue that will hurt him. Why? Because he's made so much of his military leadership. Because he landed on an aircraft carrier. Because this election people DO care that he was AWOL for a year working on his daddy's friends campaign. Because as this administration has said about 9000 time 9-11 CHANGED EVERYTHING.

No, mainly people are realizing that he's lying to them.

His legislative record is fine. There's 6500 votes in his carreer there's pulses and minuses to all of them.

Quote:

Oh I agree. The thing to get excited about is that people are willing to vote for anyone who's not named BUSH.

Yes, but were they hunting mallards, pintails, shovelers, wood ducks, canvasbacks? What kind? That's the pertinent question.
