Stars under names in posts...what do they mean?Follow

Didn't really think about what they were for until one appeared under my name when I posted ^^;

Can't think of what they are there for. Does anybody know? Checked a few forums, the login help, and the FAQ, and can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I believe that the stars are purely a measure of how many posts you have. The "score" is based on how people have rated your posts. A high enough score will earn you a title (not the name title, it'll be under your name). There might be a FAQ somewhere about this somewhere...

Ahhh I see. I went through a few posts now and it seems everybody with more than 50 posts has a star. So it's probably a counter for number of posts. Should include something about that in the FAQ.

Stars are post count related. Name color is Karma. 10,000k is reportedly the mythical 5 star number. Beyond that, who knows?

If you are posting under the https://everquest.allakhazam.com/ view, Plain black or non-bold blue means default 3.0 or lower karma, Blue is Scholar, 3.01 to 3.5. Sage is green between 3.5 and 4.5, And Red is Guru between 4.5 and 5.0. Moderators and admin types show up as Maroon.
