Mmm, applesauce.Follow

Well, it's 4:30 AM, and I'm sitting here eating applesauce out of the jar. After eating some fries seasoned with chemical mace (the other patrons at the diner didn't appreciate the stinging aroma, oh well), I needed something to settle my stomach.

Anyway.

Picked up a 1990 Kawasaki EX 500 two months ago from a friend, then rode it down to Florida with another friend of mine. Quite a trip for a beginner (think I had 100 miles under my belt when I left PA). Good stuff. Made it down there in three days.

Stayed in a sleezy motel for most of the stay. It wasn't really a bad place, but crack circulated through there like... stuff that circulates a lot.

Didn't do too much down there. Mostly just went for rides around Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, and especially for rides along A1A (right along the beach). Very, very nice place. I don't think it's a good idea to put volleyball nets that close to the street, but oh well. My friend and I agreed that if we wrecked into each other gawking, there'd be no hard feelings. Fortunately, neither of us wrecked. Almost dropped the bikes a few times, but we didn't wreck.

Got back yesterday. It's ******* cold here, there's this white **** all over the ground, and it's ******* cold here. I miss Florida. I miss the beach. I miss bars that will serve me. Ah well.

Only one real reason for coming back. I've more or less decided to put in my papers for active duty.

Yes, I'm going from Reserves to active Army. Going to get my tax money back ($1100 or so), **** it away in a week or two, then hopefully set sail for Germany. I'll pick up a new Ducati sportbike or something while I'm there to attack the Autobahn, then I'll get a computer so I can keep in touch. Mainly so I can play EQ2, but so I can keep in touch too. A man has to have priorities, you know.

Still single, but I know a few girls to fool around with until I leave.
