You've probably not been forwarding much spam then. The constipation you get from ignoring warnings on spam cancels out the diarrhea from the beerios. And you thought you were just "regular"...pfffhhht.

Metallica is sweet. If you like them, you should download some Systematic. You'd like 'em. Some good songs include "Deep Colors Bleed", "Beginning of the End", "If Only", and "Jane Doe". Check them out, they are the shiznit.

Mmmmmm, beerios. The only thing better than that would have to be Captain Jack. When Captain Crunch and Jack Daniels team up, there's no stopping them!!

Now, this is interesting...do tell, Nadenu. How did you meet? How long was it before you met in real life? How did you know he was a stallion?

Anyone else met someone online?

Long story short, (maybe) I had to stay home a lot at night because I was a single mother who hated to get a sitter, and I was also short on cash. So once I was able to get online, I started chatting, mainly out of bordom (yes, really, lol).

He and I visited the same local chat room, chatted for about a month or so, exchanged pics, and I did something extraordinarily stupid, I invited him up for a weekend, not knowing anything about him except what we had said online and on the phone. Oh, and an online friend told me he was cute and nice, hehe.

Anyway, he came up, stayed the night, (we lived about 2 hours apart) and that was 4 1/2 years ago. I got lucky, he's not Jeffery Dahmer (at least he hasn't busted out that side of himself yet).

Awww, Nadenu, that is so romantic. So, on a scale of 1 to 10, how nervous were you meeting him for the first time? LOL. I'd **** my pants! I've never "met" anyone online before. Seems like it would be a unique challenge to get to know someone.

Really, Angua? WOW - I had no idea "online meeting" was becoming so common. I have 2 friends that have met people online, one is now married to the person they met. When I heard that he had found this person online, inside I kinda shook my head. I mean how can you really meet someone over the internet, right? He explained to me how, because they had to chat via messenger and the like, they cut to the chase faster. There was none of the usual games you play when you meet someone you are attracted to. They talked a lot and got to know each so well before they had even set eyes on each other. Then they met in the US for a week, not in her hometown, and stayed together in a little B & B. So romantic. I'd kill for a little romance, right now.

/logs on to chat room. Smiley: sly

A good friend of mine met her husband in a chat room. Merri and I didn't meet that way ... as I think I've mentioned, I dislike chat rooms and have only visited them with the intent to cause fighting. =) We met because of the mutual like of a little known band and their guestbook. Etc.

What your friend told you is right ... you can get to know someone pretty fast if all you do is talk via email/instant messenger/phone.

I still think meeting people on line is strange though. Smiley: laugh Basically, I just got lucky.

*Enter Grammar *****

So would that be "You're Besta" or "You're Beast"?

I think she'd need to add one more 'a' if I'm correct in thinking you meant "You're a beast".

Or maybe she could change it to "You're breast" Smiley: laugh
#73 Feb 02 2004 at 11:34 AM Rating: Decent
K, its corrected now. was supposed to say "Your a beast" much akin to "your an animal" You know like wild and stuff. Not at all intended to mean something like hey you look like a gorrilla or anything like that.

Hmmm...I like that. "You're the beast" - so much more in touch with who I really am. Now if only I could remove stupid, smiling suns. Curse the old broad that gave me this cup! The suns even have sunglasses on...how ironic.

I was nervous, but it wasn't nearly as bad as you'd think. Excited would be more like it. And amazed at how well we still got along in person. I had met other people IRL before that I had a great time with online, but in the flesh, we had nothing to say. So, it was a nice surprise that it wasn't just an "online personality" that he had shown me. He was really a funny, smart and sweet guy. =)

Angua, how long did you and Merri "talk" before meeting IRL? And when did you start living together? (if I can ask, hehe). My hubby and I alternated driving to see each other on weekends for 8 months before I moved to his end of the state so we could live together.

Let's see. We met on Valentine's day when she sent me an email about my web site (which was actually something back then). Took about three weeks before we started talking on the phone. She flew out to San Diego (from Atlanta) after maybe two months, and two and a half months after that I flew to Atlanta and helped her move out.

So it was pretty quick. When it's right and you know it's right, there isn't any reason to mess around, IMO.
