What's surprising is how long it took for Smash to come to love Hello Kitty. When I lived in Japan in '75 the little pink feline was already firmly esconsed in Japanese culture.

A friend of mine was trying to tell me about the rules of Yu Gi Oh. Sounds more complicated than MtG to me....

My son collects Yu-Gi-Oh cards. He's only four and doesn't play the game, but he likes looking at the pictures and owning them. Anyway, as an one time M:tG veteran (got out around Ice Age), I decided to read the instructions for Yu-Gi-Oh. Seemed hellishly complicated to me, but then I didn't actually try the rules, I just read them and set them back down.
