I just don't get the obsessive fixation people have with the lives of celebrities. I really don't.

My wife, an otherwise brilliant woman of high moral standing, professionally acclaimed and as compassionate as a saint, sits in front of the television as if hpynotized whenever some Hollywood Infotainment dreck about who's marrying/divorcing/dating/kanoodling who comes on. And I just don't understand it. Its at times like these that I almost lose respect for her.

"A spokesman for Lopez at Dan Klores Communications said in a statement: "I am confirming the reports that Jennifer Lopez has ended her engagement to Ben Affleck. At this difficult time, we ask that you respect her privacy."

This made me laugh. Those media whores crave attention like a heroin user looking for his next fix. "Respect her privacy?" ROFLMAO! The only thing Jenny from the Block <rollseyes> hasn't subjected us to is pay-per-view of her wiping her humongous lard a$$ after she takes a dump.

I don't fawn over celebrities in general, but Matt Damon and Ben Affleck hold a special place in my heart. Those two are, to me, the current nucleus of the movie industry. I like the fact that Matt is a bit quieter about his personal life. I wasn't even aware that he was tapping Eva Mendes.
