Went to Wreck Beach, Vancouver's foremost nude beach, a few years ago and it was delightful. Why are North Americans so hung up on clothes (pun intended)? The first week I lived in Germany I saw two totally nude Germans playing frisbee in the local dogwalking park. Curse that dog and her love of frisbees.

Once I gain some weight and shape my body up some, I'll join ya! I think being a 115-lb weakling at a nudist colony would be as bad as being a 300-lb overweight slob. Well, maybe not quite, but my physique is pretty horrifying anyways.

I am not american, so don't you worry "aboot" that. I hope you like cold weather though, and pasty white skin. By the way, I lived in Germany for 2 years and saw plenty of disgusting fatties, so don't kid yourself.

The vast majority of humans need to keep their clothes on. For the most part we as a species look lumpy, misshapen, and pasty (even blacks) in the places where the sun don't shine.
I am fairly certain there is not a single person on this board who would look good sans clothing-- unless one of you are a supermodel and are slumming with us shmoes.

We had a German student come stay with us as part of some international sports thing. He was very disappointed with the censorship on TV. He said that its nothing to see a pair of hooters selling you orange juice in Europe.
The problem is that America has traditionaly had a very puritan attitude toward anything um.. "naughty". While I agree that we don't need 8 year olds surfing ****, I think that this whole notion that the human body is "naughty" or "bad" is hurting us more than helping us. Since we make nudity such a big deal it just makes it even more enticing.
You can also see that countries that provide Red Light Districts have a drastically lower amount of sex-related offenders than we do here in the US.
I say "Go bare if you dare!"
FYI--- It is legal to sun bathe topless in State Parks in Ohio. I go down to Ceasers Creek a lot during the summer. Its out of the way, but by far my favorite place to swim laps. 8)
