#1 Jan 14 2004 at 4:00 PM Rating: Decent
Does anyone know if what this "company" does it legal? I mean, I guess the "power-leveling" service is technically ok but how do they get away with selling plat and items? Isn't that illegal according to the EQ EULA? Or does IGE have some arrangement? Anyone know or have links to official info???

Lucifer, as well as an army of angels who fought along side him, was thrown out of heaven when he sought to userp power from the almighty. This act of blatant stupidity has caused him to find himself out of favor with the Lord Our God. Beautiful is the deceiver, and treacherous are his ways. He will seek to coax you from the path of righteousness and draw you to an eternal bath of fire.

IGE is one of the instruments of his corruption. Dilligence is the only weapon against him. Keep to the narrow path, do not cast your eyes to this side and that. Avoid temptation, surf not the unholy duo that is IGE/Yantis. Go now, and sin no more.

Oh, and for your information, gaming forums hosted by this site will specifically identify themselves as such. This, however, is the OOT. It's a wild and wooly new frontier that is host to some REALLY unsavory characters. Searching the landscape will grant you the rare site of an intel-weenie, a raving lunatic of a texas big-haired wildabeast, right-leaning lions and left-leaning wackos, lesbians, potheads and TGs, oh my. Should you choose to post more of this game related drivel here, we will all be forced to come out and eat you, and you will be yet another poor traveler on safari who didn't read the "please don't feed the wild animals" sign.

Thank you,
That is all.

Until someone goes to court and the courts decide that the company running th show holds all rights to the data in that game, there's little SOE can do to enforce the EULA short of banning accounts. Breaking the EULA isn't really "illegal" in that there's no criminal penalties for selling an account, plat, etc. They could seek civil recourse for contract breach, but it's unlikely they would, at least on an individual basis.

Buying/selling plat, accounts and equipment and powerlevelling services all violate the EULA. PL services require someone else to access your account which is a no-no according to the EULA. IGE, Yantis, etc have no "arrangement" with SOE, they're just flagrantly violating the EULA because they can get away with it.

Thank you so much for an actual answer. =)

Since this applies to multiple Station games and the forum is described as "Out of Topic: Please use this forum for all topics and conversations not directly related to the specific games. ", it seemed like the right spot for the post. Sorry if this post wasn't pink-elephant enough for some of you.

I thought the whole thing sounded wrong and suspected the hand of evil was at work; I just wanted a confirmation.

Thanks again Jophiel.

It is a common misconception that breaking EULAs is illegal, which of course is nonsense.
