Geeze Angua, that's rough. I'm sorry you and Merrikat both had to go through that. I guess that explains why you don't like Portland. I wouldn't like it either after something like that. I'd say my condolences or something like that, but I'm afraid it would just sound trite. I really am sorry that happened though.

(Is the story being in Vancouver bringning up bad memories? I can always write in a change of scene)

Kao - don't worry about it. =) Our stint in Portland was a harsh one. My mother died while I was there (we were extremely close), then my father died 4 months later, and my car got stolen. All in all it was a pretty rotten year. I dislike Portland, yes, but I don't really associate it with that anymore. Mainly I just think the constant drizzle isn't for me.

I'd have to say unprotected sex with skeezy hoes would be the worst.

So, I'm sure the whole forum is curious. Was Katie any good?

Maybe you should take her at night, I went there during the day and it wasn't anything more than a good exercise.

Katie? Naw man, they may have been skeezy hoes, but they were moderately intelligent.

I've also been in a knife-fight, kind of, at a keg party. Almost lost the pads of 2 fingers on my right hand. Left some nice scars running across my finger prints. That may have been my most dangerous situation, though I wasn't very scared - just bombed.

You ever play that game where you and one other person stand facing each other about 6 feet apart, with legs spread out just past shoulder width, then you take turns throwing a knife in between each others legs, and where ever the knife lands, you have to put your foot there, causing the gap between your feet grow smaller and smaller?

Fun game :)

Well, when I was still working part-time at my parent's shop, I was an eye witness when the jeweller from across the street was shot point blank after he chased down the guy who just stole about 40 Breitling and Jaeger le Coultre watches. That was really frightening. Luckily that guy was pulled of his little motorcycle when his gun went empty and he tried to flee. He really, really really got his *** handed by some mean looking bystanders.

Mind you, I live in a fairly small Dutch city (approx 70.000 people) where these acts of crime were never seen before. I was shocked to say the least.

My biggest 'fun-rush' was in Crete, an island off Greece. There was a big waterpark there with a bungee jump crane. My three friends and I teased eachother for about an hour before I took the bait and jumped. That crane lifted me above the ocean, and that was a spectacular view and a very big adrenalin rush. Well worth the 50 $.

Canadian mugging...

mugger: Pardon me, eh, can I have all your money?

muggee: I suppose.

mugger: Thanks, eh.

muggee: Not at all.

mugger: Now take of, you hoser.

I'm sorry, but I just about sh*t myself when I read this. Anyone else see that episode of Family Guy when the family is going to New York but stops at the Indian casino on the way? And at the end they have that whole "The More You Know..." deal like on PBS. Funniest one liner in animated history at the end of that one. Just a passing thought.
