I got several e-mails that there is a trojan horse ad that pops up on a full screen, can't be closed and tries to download a program. I can't find it anywhere. If anyone gets that ad to come up, please copy the source code and e-mail it to me so I can get rid of it.

Logged off and spammed refresh and checked different links for a while, didn't see any full screen ad.

Probably people with spyware. You should talk to the people over at Ad aware (lavasoft I think) and the "Search and destroy" people to see if they want to advertise on your site.

I run ad-aware but it never seems to find anything, yet I know I have crap on my system somewhere. My homepage always resets itself periodically to an ad site, and I can't get rid of it!

Anybody know of a better program than Ad-aware to get rid of this spyware??

I use adaware and spybot, it's amazing the things that one or the other misses.

Very handy utility.

Here is the actual download page if you are too lazy to look through the site for it :)

Same here, always use Spybot along with Ad-aware, and update both at least once a week.

I'll set the computers to autorefresh when I get home with the firewalls down and leave them like that for a while and see if I can get anything to come up.

It's probably some IGE sponsored crap spamware ad trojan that has all the sites they couldn't buy listed as triggers.

If you can, see if you can get the people reporting it to let you know what other game related websites they ahve visited in the apst few days, see if there is a common thread...

spybot has caught spyware programs trying to sneak by in the pop-ups several times. Although the "avenue A's" and other spyware programs arent too too bad, its not cool.

Havent kept a list, but i will now and post them at a later date.

Still ahve not got the ad in question to pop, but with as slow as everything has been lately, it has been hard to hammer the site for refreshes.

That wasn't laoding any ads at all when I posted it, and there does not seem to be any ads there now. Have you tried running ad-aware Totem?

Did anyone else get an ad from that site?
