So since Friday my attempts at posting on this board have been akin to my experiences with ****. Curiousity which leads me to take action, followed by signs that payoff is imminent, followed by discomfort and feelings of being violated, followed by anticlimactic, if not nonexistent gratification.
Is it the Lasttm thread? What is causing all the double posts, timeouts, dead ends? Sometimes I get done typing and, upon hitting "post", am informed that the page does not exist or the url is invalid. Is this going to go on all next week as well? This won't do! I simply must have something to do at work which is totally unrelated to my job!

Waaaaaayyyy too muchy information there...
The forum slowness is because there are too many people here. Especially with the collapse of the yantis owned boards and recent patches, the servers are just getting overloaded. The old ubb server was off by itself, isolated from the site load, but the new forum is on the same servers (i think) as the rest of the site, meaning we get to share the load with all the other thousands of people hitting the site at any given time.
Basically, too many people + not enough servers = Bad.
Edit: oh, and there is also a persistant database trying to replicate itself error, which is why it is slow at the moment I think.
