stuck in Final Fantasy X-2 (possible spoilers)Follow

#1 Jan 07 2004 at 1:27 PM Rating: Default
This is about the most difficult Final Fantasy I have ever played. Anyways I have been playing it off and on for awhile. I now find myself in the farplane heading through. First time I went in I was only level 30ish and couldn't take anything in there. So I left and ran up and down that one place collecting chocobo's, leveled up, learned new skills. Now I am between levels 42 and 45. I have Yuna maxed in Blackmage and her special dress maxed. Yuna also has about 60% Warrior skill, 30% songstress, and a few gunnner skills.

Rikku is maxed theif, 70% warrior, 100% special dress. Paine is 100% warrior, 90% white mage, no special sphere.

Anyways I head back into farplane and still can't hardly kill even the random battles. In the few cases I can defeat the enemies it usually involves Rikku in her special dress. Finnally I managed to get through there aways and defeat shiva, but now I am to the Magus sisters and I just see absolutely no way to defeat them with what I got. Even useing the special dresspheres I didn't even touch them hardly. Soon as they delta attack you its over since they lower your hp to 1 and then 5 seconds later finish you off with regular attacks.

Am I just severely underpowered still, or maybe missing a really important skill? I get the feeling this is like Final Fantasy 8 where it just about imposssible if you don't play the stupid card games or something. Far as mini-games go I didn't play non of that crap in Calm Lands. I have done about all the optional missions though minus the protect the cacti and blitzball. I really hope its not im just underpowered considering I all ready spent about 2 hours extra time just running circles to level up.

I remember when it used to be "Where's Mren when you need him?"

Anything from cross-posting to posting **** in the wrong forum, you could count on him to say something about it.

Was usually short and to the point, something like "Hey moron, this isn't a Final Fantasy forum, **************

No ********* from me, my old son. No wanton calls for your cross-posting head on a spit, just a simple warning.

To all you travelers, from far and wide, from Galaxies at the corners of the universe, to moons over Norrath and beyond, this is the deep end of the pool. Here the protective Dykes practice drunken posting, our token black follows stereotypes and rarely gets wet, sexual ambiguity is flaunted, and people lacking the reading comprehension necessary to find one of the myriad FF forums are generally loaded on to a spit and flayed over an open fire pit till a nice golden brown. Welcome to OoT. Now go back to your home page and read. Having done this, pick the appropriate link, and not one that would imply to my 5 year old niece serious mental scarring.

Mob - your getting really good at the job of policing the board. Keep up the good work - the word will get back and they will dare not come in here for mundane things. This is only for the boted and - whatever.

Mine is not to poilice, but to provide valuable instruction to the un-initiated, lest some of the more intollerant among us get a hold of them first. I humbly suggest more attention while ever so subtly inferring retardation or a missing chromosome

I am stepping through the list, trying to keep it fresh. I am saving you for a special special person. Perhaps a quote from The Kao of Alla along the lines of he who seeks enlightenment would be better served with a finger in a light socket than a cross post to OOT.

Might I ask what is wrong with posting a question about a game in the OFF TOPIC forum? Isn't this a forum that is for topics that are OFF TOPIC?

I figured being this is a board where RPG players post alot of messages, that somebody might have played FFX-2 since its a RPG...

I didn't really want to register for another forum to ask 1 question about this game.
#14 Jan 08 2004 at 1:08 AM Rating: Good
Try here

You'd have better luck posting on the Final Fantasy forum, which you don't have to re-register for. This is out of topic, as in nothing to do with the games.

#15 Jan 08 2004 at 1:11 AM Rating: Good
Yeah... OOT stands for "OFF TOPIC". The other "O" is for Oh! I'm a moron!

Multi-Game Forum: Use this forum to discuss any games not covered by specific forums.

And here, it reads: "Out of Topic: Please use this forum for all topics and conversations not directly related to the specific games."

Move along or let me take a dump on your chest. Or, let me take a dump on your chest, then move along. See you in Toledo!

I was wondering why she didn't ask where I was, I've been the one dumb enough to post on every lost moron's thread for a while.

Secession.

When you become queen, Skeeter, as you surely will... your second act (after cutting off Katie's head and doing unmentionable things to it) should be to appeal to the higher powers to free us from these gaming fools.

There must be a way to let in newbies without letting in everyone. Gaming racism!

Perhaps when someone clicks the OOT link they could get asked some very pointed questions before it lets them in?

1) Do you play games?
2) Can you stand the heat?
3) Is your name Katie?

What is the big deal, you would think I just came in here and called somebodies mother a nasty name or something. Geez Im soo sorry I upset the delicate balance of your precious site by asking a gaming related question. Im through with the forums of this site, people are too big of prickish nerds here. I mean this is a site relateing to games, its no... just forget it, ***** you guys.

When ever going to a country you've never been to before, it's best to observe the natives before you jump in. That way, if they are cannibalistic head hunters, you can sneak away before they spot you. Or you can jump right in and kick some asses, securing a place for yourself.

Too many unwary travellers wander into our little forest here and then get eaten alive. Sometimes though, we try to be nice...

I posted a link for you to use that would be much more helpful, as did Skeeter. On those forums they actually play games. Did you go check them out? I'm sure they would be much more friendly.

Mr. Box, it is with great sorrow and sadness that I witness your abandoning of this site's forums. I truly wish that we, the poster community, could have served your specific needs in a more fulfilling manner. That we have failed you will be a black mark on my soul personally that I will carry, heavy though it may be, to the grave. Please take this most sincere apology as my attempt to garner your trust and friendship, knowing that should you accept, you will automatically have all of your questions, no matter how cross-posted and gramatically shocking they may be, treated with the utmost respect from those of us who truly do need to get out and enjoy more sunshine, and less of the monitor's icy glow. From the bottom of my heart, I am sorry that I tried in the least offensive way possible to refer you to the appropriate forum for your inquiry. I promise that I shall never again try to interfere with those on this board who are less tactful and less interested in your feelings. I really need a hug.

Smiley: banghead

Grow up.

You know, I would really, really like to see this as the heading for OOT. That would rock.
