Start a petition thread in feedback forum and get a significant number of people to sign it. if it gains enough support I'll get one added.

I say yes. Quite a few threads in the OoT (not sure about the Asylum) that request anime suggestions or discuss series. Would be nice to see them have their own place on the forums.

Nah, it would be great for an anime forum to discuss and hear about different anime out there. I just got started on Code Geass, I wish I had known about it earlier >_<

It'll get created either way, but I'm against it only because it feeds into the post count/name color/karma that defines alla. It'll end up turning into vote threads instead of anon posting, with threads getting sub-defaulted just by the name of the poster or material, which in turn subtly affects people's opinions on which shows to watch if they peruse the forum. People can then take those farmed posts and subsequent +1s from inevitable arguments/internal memes and apply them to other boards for credit.

I'm really against it because A) alla's general lack of authority on the topic b) posters' ******* GRAND delusions of brains based on color/post count c)it's just the wrong system to try to implement it. There are better forums out there to utilize for more comprehensive information, or if you want to discuss it with other people here, use the OoT, or tripcode.

What does that have to do with wanting an Anime forum? Also, posts ARE rated based on the material of the post, as that is really what the karma system is for. And why would it matter if people only watch certain animes because some people on the internet tell them to? It's pretty sad if they won't watch a show because they're afraid the internet will attack them for doing it.
