Hi. I'm sure a few of you know me, maybe (my name is in my signature). First post on the Diabolos forum. I didn't want to make an introduction thread or anything, because I'm not really that interesting.

So, instead, I pose a question!

Recently I've noticed a group of players all with the word "Xable" in their name. The only one I remember right now, without checking, is "Xablethf". As I recall, none of them have subjobs, and they're all in their high 20's (or maybe low 30's by now).

Who are they? I feel like I should know, that I'll probably be ridiculed for being "out of the loop" .. but I can't help that!

I'm not going to say anything about them, as I don't know them .. I'm just curious as to why they're all sharing the same name and doing the same odd thing.

Well, anyway .. hello Diabolos! I hope that I can find some friends here on the forums ..

Welcome to the forum Smiley: flowers

I am going to make an assumption and guess that they are gil-farmers...but I am not sure. The naming pattern and lack of sub seems to be similar to known gil-farmers on other servers.

Let me know if you ever need anytinhg...and welcome once again Smiley: wink

Well,I know for a fact Xablesnow speaks fleunt English,so that sort of takes away the stereotype that all gil-farmers are Chinese or non-english if they are in fact farmers.I personally don't mind if they are,as long as they don't camp a certain NM on shifts in almost an eternal period of time then they can do whatever they choose.

Thank you, Nephthys!

Gil farmers, huh? I sort of thought that myself, but I didn't want to jump to any conclusions.

Thank you again for your nice post. I was a bit nervous when I posted, I was afraid of what sort of replies I might get. I suppose I'm a little paranoid.

I do wonder, though, if anyone I know in-game is here ..

Well, Razor, one of the Xables was interrupting my party play once in Qufim .. attacking worms there. I don't know why, really, they could've gone almost anywhere else. Not to say he's a bad guy .. he could've picked a better solo spot, though ..

A~nyway! I don't much like the idea of selling gil, but it happens. I can understand what you mean about NMs. Out of sight, out of mind, I suppose ..

As long as they're not getting in anyone's way, they can do as they please. That's what the game's about, really.

I've seen the "Xable" gang before too.

LvLing BRD in Qufim, there were two of them. Early 30's, one was a Galka, other a taru. The Galka was killing worms near the pond and the taru was next to Delkfutts tower.

We moved from the pond to Delkfutts and started killing crabs. All of a sudden i see the taruXable get up and go attack a giant that was semi near the entrance to delkfutts and train it to zone. I was like WTF? I was watching him cuz of the name and the no sub. We zoned and i didn't say anything. He did this two more times in a span of about 30 min. After the third time, i sent him a /tell saying "I know what your doing,do it one more time and I'm calling a GM". He just /waved at me and i never saw him again. My guess they are gil-farmers and he was just bored or something. But it was a pretty Sh***y thing to do regardless

Those are the most misterious of all clanes recently poped up on Diabolos. I thought that they are gil farmers too.. but.. 1) they do speak english (come on why shouldn't they) 2) They stay on Qufim all the time (wth would you farm there) 3) They kinda participate in gameplay.. Xablemoon (whm) was doing occasional raises near Delkfur tower entrance 4) All my mules starts from "Skee", so who knows ^^

On the other hand.. a week ago Gusgen mines have been invaded by Jkkj, Jkjk, KjjK and Jojo. They are there 24/7 (or at least when I log and do search they are always there, at least one). This was mildly annoying since they were camp mining. There is another mithra who is there all the time I do a serach on Gusgen, but her name doesn't follow the pattern, so she might be a legitimate player in a mining frenzy period ^^.

Couple of days ago I noticed in Bastok market area Boyc, Boydd, Boyb and Boya. All were MNK1 with no sunjob

Call me what you wish. Who I am in real life is of little concern .. truthfully, little know my actual gender (do you really know?), and I'd like to keep it that way. People will generally (sometimes unknowingly) treat you differently based on your gender .. I know this all too well.

But hi! I remember you. You raised me in Gustaberg. I sure hate that place. I'm eager to get the heck out of there. I hope your fishing went well.

Eh, this is sort of off the topic of the thread, but there's not much more to be said on the Xables .. though I did see that Jkjk fellow shouting about selling ore in Bastok the other day. He gave up after a bit, though.

I did see Xablesnow hanging out near the tower in Quifim, charging 500gil per raise. If you've ever seen the giants bowl, hey tend to take a lot of weaker characters down, so Xablesnow was making some bank. Sad thing is, the suckers agreeded to pay it. Now I know he's a potental gil farmer, it maked me mad.

I also saw the boyd clan in the Bastok Market talking to a mentor. All lvl 1 MNK in the blonde hume female model. I wonder what they were up too?

I know it's wrong, but I like the Xables. I don't appreciate the idea of playing a game to make money, or the exploitation of poor people to make a buck, but there's something about these guys.

For one, our friendly neighborhood gilfarmers level their subs. They have their own linkshell; "TheCrimsonArmy" or something like that. The WHM, Xablesnow(?) even helped out our exp party in qufim with a random cure 2 every now and then, no questions asked.

Also, I've never had them do anything overty mean or rude to me. Our LS always gets a kick out of reporting their whereabouts, and messing with them..

So, whilst Gilsellers suck, at least our prominent diabolos ones aren't as sucky as some. Anyone have any real dirt on these guys?

One thing everyone seems to be missing is that gil-farmers NEED a sub. It's usually a SEVERELY gimped sub, but it's there none the less. Most have a war sub at 5 as a minimum, or thf at 15.

I'm guessing the Xables are a group of players intentionally playing without subs, probably for the challenge. Based on some of their actions, I wouldn't doubt if they had high level characters and wanted to go back through the game like this.

Their jerk displays are characteristic of what some people do to lower level players to get their kicks. Some people also intentionally train mobs to get others killed and then charge for raise to make money.

This is an EASY fix. Just play guardian of a region/zone for a while. It not only helps the people trying to level but helps us keep regions out of Beastmen control, which is good for us ALL.

Hey guys if you see anyone else training mobs to the tower zone. Please send me a /tell bigmike. I'll come up there kill everthing before it hits anyone. That action of training/charging for raises is sick. Then I'd call a GM for training constanly. This action is uncalled for and needs to be stoped.

Hey everyone!
I am new to the boards, nice to meet all of you. I got up at 5:00 AM this morning to try to get 25 before i had to go to school, and ended up in a party with the Xables. First, they are indeed Chinese, and despite what someone in this thread mentioned, they do not speak English. To communicate with others, they use the pre-programmed emotes and macros when they communicate at all - i was in a PT with them for 15 minutes and they never said a word. I am not certain they are gil farmers. First off, a GIL buying company wouldnt have all their 'employees' named names that similar as it would draw a lot of attention to what they are doing (seems that way to me anyway). Second off, it seems that GIL sellers want to get as high as possible as quickly as possible because it is the higher up items/mobs they want to camp. If you believe this to indeed be true, then you have nothing to worry about from the Xables, it will be months before they hit a decent farming level at their rate. All of their armour was gimped (couldnt tell if they had subs because they were all /anon) and they had no tank, and when they WOULD kill something (after all being killed by wigths 3 times) they would get 43 EXP, 43 EXP they all seemed to be very pleased about. I stayed in the PT for so long because there was no one else looking at 5:00 AM :oP and the sheer amusment of the whole situation held my attention. Anyway, thought i would relate this, as i saw the post.

Gil-farmers DO use very similar names, it's a very common trend. The Xables are not Gil-farmers, if they were they would have lost their jobs by now. lol

Ok, Back to these guys..... Two weeks later the truth came out.

These guys bought out all field tunics I was selling BOTH in Bastok and San d'Oria. Alarmed by this I looked at all minig locations this monday.. What do you know... 3 Xables were mining in Gusgen.

So now we have jkjk and Xables in Gusgen 24/7... I am affraid Gusgen Mines are now kaput :((. I am also affraid that prices of ores will steadily go down if this trend continues
