And by wisdom I mean drunken advice.

I used to play this game a long time ago. I had many level 75s, and I remember partying with you many times Megatron. Great player. I just started playing again myself. I am a level 6 monk now. I am murdering little tree people (treants) and bugs and worms in the hills of south gustaberg.

A buddy of mine got invited to a conquest run the other day...he went...it was awesome aparently...<3 nostalgia.

It is a combination of what you said Mega. Just need more people I can solicit nationalism to. I figure If I could get three 3-4 man cells, each with a thf and crafter, and have 1 separate runner outside the team, their would be an efficiency gain overall.

Problem is getting people. 3 of us were in Bastok last weekend for about 10 levels on 1 job. We didn't trade anything and we got Windy a lil higher.

When you are a lowbie like me, you can find fun in the little things sometimes, lol. I'm having fun sub lvl30 though which is what matter I suppose.

i remember camping that mofo. did it for months before those dropped. it so sucks to be camping a nm for hours and hours and a person jsut runs up. it spawns in front of them. they claim it. kill it and get the drop and leave. ive had that happen so many time you wantot pull your hair out. and thus why no pvp in ffxi.

i would offer my time today but i currently have peror obligations

yea they do. which is a lot of things in ffxi are but the feeling of acomplishment is what i enjoy about that agervashion. ill give you an example.

my ranger is 37. and ive really been giving my next job some thought. looking at what i wan and can level and descided since i haver capped and merited archery, kirins osode and a few otehr pieces of ger i should level ranger. make the best out of what i got already ya know. so i start researching bows and c bows for ranger. and i come across the hole V bow E bow thing. the V bow is a nm drop and its sister bow is a bcnm drop. well i dont got time or 4 friends to be free all the time to do eierth the bcnm or cvamp a over camped nm. so i figure il ljust sale all my old gear and buy a e bow. well i should of saw it as a sign casue as soon as i did that not a single one was on the ah. and then as i get home the price jumps 1 million gil. so i say F it and i look back over the lists and i see Salins bow. 5 levels later awsome stats. and its rare ex. my kinda toy.

well i read all the research and wiki info and me and my wife head out as 2 BST.
we we go out the with 3 stacks of carrots. and loaded to the gils with jug pets.
i pop the nm. and we sit ther literlally for over a hour fighting this little pain in the ARSE nm whos only tp move was to heal him slef every 3 hits. we would knock 10% of its life off and wild carrot it right the hell back. just emagine 90% 100% 90 % 100% . so i started paralyign it and we got it dow nto 40% then i incressed speed and was right back up to 80% a thf and a WHM came up and was talking to us as we fought the nm. and he wanted it. so we invited them. eqwual lotting rights just wanted it dead. we kill it and of course no drop.

15 mins later we try again ... frost turnip. well i say hey ill change jobs to sam brb. i tele mean
hop to windy change job op back out run to the spot and we spawn it again im not for blood now. we kill it.

i start yelling TH a myth. and me and the oterhs are talking between pop times. and we fight it the 4th or 5th time i lost count. and
banm the bow drops.
i get all pumped 50% chance its mine and i lot 42... freaking dad danm 42.
i cuss SE and the bow and say congradualtions to the other guy on his bow.
and i settle in for another 15min wati or the opps we dcdc thing from the thf and whm. or o no we got a ls event. but they stayed and even got another friend to come out. a war. 15 mins later were al lther joking and cutting up. and we spanwe it again. and the danm bow drops back to back i lot of couse when thers no comp 839. everyone cheer and i get my bow.

a long wait all the anguish and the joy of getting a bow i cant even use yet.
those gloves are nice. and work on many a job 3 i think. you may not can camp them alone today. or tommorrow but some day real soon youll be able to. and when you do and they finally drop . its like ther made of pure gold and the greatest thing in the entire ffxi world.

when i got my Yenyang robe after years of trying to claim that sob and no drops.
it was almost like the feeling i got when my son was born. i know its a game but its alos a part of our everyday lives.

I was ignoring the little things everyone does . . . @#%^ punctuation and capitalization and all that. . . by the end I was having to read the "sentences" a couple times just to figure out the idea that was trying to be communicated and I couldn't take it anymore.


I'm sorry, you're obviously a good guy and all, but I'm going to school as an Education major / English minor your posts are just painful to me.

That's what I would do if I wanted to be a Grammar Nazi. Anyway, since i did not know your situation I wasn't trying to be offensive, but I cannot change my love for Lady Grammar anymore then you can help your situation.

The spell-check built into Firefox (my internet browser) caught all your spelling errors aside from the your's. You can get Firefox here.

P.S. I rather enjoy proof-reading your posts and would be more than willing to continue to help.

Mega's spelling and grammar have transcended 'errors' and have become his own literary style. It has a somewhat defining characteristic. Much like Busa's rampant alchoholism. It is kinda fun too, reading his posts to get the messages he has buried within.

I too do not enjoy firefox, i wish IE has a spellcheck feature as well.

Anyway, long live Mega and the help he provides.

Seriously though I'm looking to complete "A Shantotto Ascension". I'm currently on the mission with the fight in Full Moon Fountain standing by on location with all 8 elemental saps collected. I'm going to shout tomorrow on one of my mule accounts: Kristasee, Matsuro, Ketsuri, Blueice, Katsako or Nuvian...not sure what flavor I'm feeling yet. If you see me shouting and wish to help on the mission then feel free to respond or if you want to just send me a tell (I'll be on one of those or Hyabusa) then do that too.
