Here's something that's kind of lame but made me happy. I got my first "drop" from an NM last night. Me and a buddy were farming and messing around, mostly going on rampaging killing sprees on our way to Jeuno. We went through Pashow Marshlands and happened to kill Jolly Green and he dropped the Shaman's Belt. I know, not a rare drop and not really worth much by way of gil, but for someone who doesn't camp NM it was still kind of cool. Mary had spawned in the Kon Highlands but my buddy was too slow so someone else got her.

I helped my RL friend get his AF1 with the help of a couple of JP players. The battle was almost sad with the help we recieved. WAY easier than my AF1. Thanks goes out to Rivius and Fomarton (sp?) for the assistance.

What did I do today?

Well, me and my friends found a way to break the firewalls at my university dorm so I can start playing Final Fantasy again!! (Well, after midterms anyway :p)

I didn't "break the firewall". Bad wording lol. Just found a way to not have it get in my way.

As for how... I have no idea. All I know is a couple of computer science students that I hang out with spent an assload of time in the last few days figuring out everything they could about the university's internet setup, because they block just about everything you can think of, and it was pissing them off.

Anyway, they changed a whole lot of settings on a few people's computers and FFXI runs like a charm now. Of course, I didn't reactivate my Content ID yet, and I wont until I'm done the gauntlet of midterms that lies ahead of me, but come November, I'll be back in Diabolos!

I mostly did some re-arranging on my mules and I worked on BLM. The interesting part of my evening was pt experiences.

Party number 1: I get an invite to a pt, hi all around, check map, start running to join them. Apparently they attacked something because they ALL died before I could even come within sight of them. Shortest pt ever.

Party number 2: I went to the dunes and was welcomed into yet ANOTHER pt where the most inexperienced person was giving orders. I learned some things.

Did you know that if you have a WHM sub you can heal? Or that WAR should voke off the puller AND tank? You can also have a macro for EVERYTHING but it HAS to be a whole sentence long. A full pt should NEVER fight anything stronger than VT, because it's bettter to fight a T then wait until everyone is 100% mp and hp before continuing.

End rant. Sorry. At least they weren't open to suggestions of any kind, so that made the extremely slow exp well worth my while. lol I guess you could say what I really did last night was test my patience. There was definite potential in a couple of them at least.

I had a pretty good weekend. I got to 12 in BLM, 23 (almost 24) in RDM and 44 in PLD. My static decided to start at 44 instead of 45 so the WHM and I are just waiting for the others to catch up. The rest of the weekend consisted of helping someone get their skull for subjob and LOTS of farming. I also realized my fame in some parts of the game isn't too hot so I did some quests and I'm going to be doing quests like crazy for a while.

RL time was even better than my time spent playing, which is great!

I got thf to 45 this weekend. Filled the AH with items that haven't been introduced to the AH. I need to get this promyvion holla and promyvion dem finished so I can go to this lufaise meadows.

Correction: Your friend bought you a Haubergeon. I'm currently working on my Haubergeon.

Today I got sent to GM jail because of blacklight, and I leveled my thf up once to 22(need to get it to 30 before I lvl drk again) and that's about it. PS: Blacklight needs to die.

Started buying my gear in prepartion for level 50 last night with the Tactician Magician's Espadon. Got it for WAY less than it was selling for just two weeks ago. After that I went to Alteppa desert and got to 46 in PLD. I'm not a leveling beast but after waiting over a month for people to level to catch up for no reason, I'm tired of not being 50. lol

Sorry to hear your LS is getting a bad rep based on something like that.

I didn't play all weekend, was too busy in RL. I did go out to the dunes to level BLM and got a /tell from a close friend asking me to come and tank some exorays to help get the mold. I found a replacement and bloodported at 6 tnl. lol We had a high level THF helping us (thanks Thang). While he was there we got 1 mold out of about 100+ Exorays, after he left we got 2 in 3. LOL This game kills me. Actually, it did kill me, we all got whiped out by a link so we decided to call it a night, me being the only one who didn't get a mold. It was my call though, I still have 4 levels to worry about it.

Ok.

I levelled NIN for a day last week, got about 15k exp, ok, not a whole day a few hours, but I got from 58, to 8k into 59, 60 Is so close, but yet so far!

To try and stop myself from dying from the insanity that is brought by higher levelling and being dissapointed by my static party, I've been levelling monk, I'm having a great time, 10 levels in the last few days, it's at 37 and I've decided to take it as far as possible, which is why my new monk profile has found a home in my signature.

Hopefully, I will be levelling NIN tonight, getting as close to 60 as I possibly can, these last 10 levels have been hell.

If not, I'm levelling monk again! But I really want 60

I met up with Autumnangel the other day, went into qufim and watched her beat the poop out of stuff, can't wait to get monk that high, thanks for humouring me Autumn!

Thanks a lot for the offer Tialah, I really appreciate. I feel fortunate to have met you, Hikaze, and the rest. I haven't leveled PLD without Hikaze since that first party in Alteppa.

Nice to hear you're enjoying MNK Burli, I personally love the job. I haven't touched it much since I got PLD because I don't want to level without Ochiude's Kote and haven't fealt like farming for it. lol

Well, its Armourdon again; First of October I quit, but this week I came back, as a Beastmaster.

It only took 2 days for my Linkshell to get my Red Mage out of retirement. So I have been working really hard on re-equipting him. I need 90,000 Experience points to catch up to my static party :( Doku, I wanted you to know my Red Mage is back^^ so if you guys need it this weekend, Let me know.

Hope everyone else is doing well! I also took up Goldsmithing.

I got a whole lot of nothing acomplished this weekend. I decided to go after a few more tablets for Cralwer's Nest map quest, An Explorer's Footsteps. Then I went to Davoi as a 26 RDM to try and find my Power Sandals and maybe get help obtaining a Gold Orcmask for the Jeuno quest to get the Engineer's Gloves.

I will say this, sneaking around as a low level RDM is FUN. Having to ALWAYS have an escape plan if your spells wear off is exciting. lol

Well unfortunately the Cross-counters didn't cost 1.7 million like I had hoped they would. I got up the money for it and couldn't even get it for 1.9 mil despite the last sale at 1.7. But then the next day another pair was up and managed to get them for 1.9, so at least I have them now :). Since then my gardens finished and was able to buy my pair of Sniper's Rings, which sadly are up to 600k a pop... Did mission 5-1, and came up 1 second short of the record, and I was the only monk in the party ;). I ended up doing 5-1 a second time and also had another monk so I figured we'd crush the record. But after entering the arena, the whm kept insisting he needed to cast Reraise and I kept saying it wasn't necessary. Well we sat around a good 15 seconds doing nothing and ended up losing to the record by 7 seconds. Oh well, not like your names are posted up there if you beat it. I then was able to do AF2 with a pld57 and rdm69. The battle took almost 10 minutes for 2 orc NM's, and man, I've never seen a 100 Fists like that one! Seemed about twice as fast as a PC's mnk 2hr. Then that comes up to yesterday when I jumped into a party doing Genkai 2. Was pretty easy but somehow I managed to get hate from the tiger even though I was the lowest level in the alliance (52). Pretty sad but I was down to under 200 HP by the time anybody even cured me. About 6 of the 18 needed to do Dark Spark (including myself), but we ended up not doing it which was kind of disappointing since we were already up there. Still need to do that before I get to 54 so if anyone's interested, send me a tell ;).

To Doku and the rest of Mako:
I apologize if I upset any of you by my last post about a member of my LS telling me that Mako wanted it's members to stay away from my LS. It appears that I have been misinformed and I don't want to stir any trouble as I have partied with many people from Mako and they're good people. On a Blacklight update, he showed up a day or two after my last post and was going to do Genkai 2 with an alliance including one of my members (I was 50 so couldn't do it yet). I took my member to the Vahzl GC where we were to meet with BL and the rest of his alliance. When we got there BL had vanished and the leader of the alliance wasn't responding to our tells. So needless to say he wasted our time going there, but luckily that member was in the alliance when I went to do it yesterday. If Blacklight shows up in HarvestMoon and I'm on, he's gone from my LS.

Hit 70,equipped my new lvl 70 equip, bought my colossal lance for 1.65mil got my DRG test and fought maat and owned him, record was 5:30 and i won in 4:25, helped with a rdm af3,camped Novv the Whitehearted for a chance at a minstrel coat for Rlbaker, no drop ><, got my sahagin key, a very exciting day for me.

I leveled SAM to 11 (not a newb, just quit MNK at 41 cause well...I need a change >.>;;) and I'm starting to love it more. I also died twice in Fei'Yin when my sneak/invis wore off; trying to do the Warp II quest. Tomorrow Fei'Yin is mine! >.>;;

Finally made enough gil, not sure how sense none of the 50 stacks of insect paste I made sold, to buy the weapon I used to have. And for some reason at twice the cost I originaly got it... God damn economics... ^^ hehe... Been hunting my ass off to no avail thanks to no lvled theif. Thats on my to-do list today I guess.

Well haven't leveled in about a week now, so still at 52. I did however get Dark Spark and my Temple Gloves, so can't wait to try those out. And man Burli, nice Chi Blast!

Anyway the main topic of this post is even more proof of why I love monk. Was soloing in the nest when I got a tell for mission 5-1 again. I figure why not so I come along. Now the first two times the record was 2:52 and my times were 2:53 and 2:59. We had a whm, drg, rdm, pld, and 2 mnks, so I figure we'd kill the record for sure this time. We just about get to Fei'Yin and the whm has to go for whatever reason. I figure no prob and we keep going. We get to the BC and the drg realizes he doesn't have a lv50 lance, so now we're wondering if we should even try. We figure might as well try since we came all the way here, but reduced to 2 mnks, rdm, pld, and a drg's wyvern. Entered the BC and alas new record, 2:31. Well so much for setting any records. Anyway I run up to the main NM unleash 100 fists with the other mnk behind. When it wore, focus, berserk, raging fists for 834 o.O and it dropped shortly after.
